  1. you obviously have no confidence in the chatter. stick wih what you have confidence in. andoh yea, you can send them chatters my way, because i love them.
  2. hey blvd, is that the same lake you always fish?
  3. right on! did ya let her go?

feel the steel--does this mean you were popped in the head with a heavy steel object? the last time i checked, fish do not have clocks. LOL
  5. i always throw a frog. whether it is a horny toad, canetoad, swamp donkey, spro, i alway throw some kind of frog. i also don't care what time of day it is either. it could be bluebird skies and no wind, i will still throw a frog. i guess you can say that i am addicted to that topwater explosion. even though you may have never seen a frog in your water, doesn't mean they are not there. i have never seen a sweet beaver before, but i sure have caught a bunch of fish on them. i know there is a joke in there somewhere. hope this helps.
  6. jerkbait i think that is a great idea. i took a saltwater inshore class with blair wiggins( the guy from addicted fishing) and it was amazing. i learned an incredible amount about inshore fishing. where are you located? i agree with avid, you must start with anatomy. then you could discuss structure and habitat. just a thought.
  7. is it just me or is the host of this show a bafoon? he made a comment, and i quote "these helium rods will increase your catch ratio tremendously". he then proceeded to miss more than 50% of his fish. why do guys like this have their own shows?
  8. i love the baby paca and i also use the chunk and chunk sr. i love to use them on a swimming jig and i flip the baby paca. okeechobee craw is my go to color.

i think it is safe to say that depending upon the region you live, the fishing department at wally world will be different. for example: the walmarts by my house (all 3 of them) have been selling horny toads for over a year. in the next county, they never have carried them and i doubt they will. i am just stoked that i can get 150 yards of power pro for $11.74. try getting it at that price at basspro.
  10. aside from a dull hook, the original chatterbait is the best of all. the gambler swim blade is a close second imo.
  11. it is a very warm 79 here in deerfield beach. but a cold front is coming, bringing the temps to a FREEZING upper 40's (low) and a cold 60's (high). i will think of you guys this afternoon when i go surfing in nothing but my trunks.
  12. gambler loco lizard---runnin 'em on top.
  13. i use the spro's, but my go to hollow frog is the swamp donkey.
  14. it is called a gambler swim blade. you tie it to the snapswivel in front of the blade.
  15. i have this old lure called hellbender, and it is made by a company called whopper stopper lures out of texas. has anyone heard of it? does it catch fish? i have it tied on one of my rods for a tourny tomorrow. i've thrown it in my pool and it has a killer wobble. just curious.
  16. 6.2 on a horny toad. a bunch of 3-5 pound fish. when the water drops out of the flats and it becomes a canal thing-----lookout! hey gatrboy, could you have at least smiled? did you not read the other guys that have yet to even see the water. i know it was a small fish, but smile you live in the greatest state of them all. must be a UF thing. LOL
  17. lucky craft guy you are right about fishing university. i saw the episode you spoke of, and man that guy is horrible. and to top it off he ate that bait.
  18. i always wear the same pair of baggies and the same long sleeved shirt every time i fish a tourny.
  19. palomar. but when using a flouro leader, i use a uni to uni knot.
  20. hey catt--when i night fish, 90% of the time i am throwing topwater. i simply listen for the explosion. i keep my rod at 12o'clock wait until the fish pulls my rod to 9 o'clock then i whack 'em.
  21. i go snook and tarpon fishing. forget going fresh when it involves that much work. if it is a tourny though--a big 12 inch worm moving an inch a minute.
  22. when i use a wacky rigged ace, 99% of my fish come when i watch my line. the aces fall so slow, that you have to watch your line. any slight movement or bump in the line, start reeling.
  23. rod: 7' star-medium heavy reel: quantum accurist pt bait cast line: 10# power pro bait: 5/0 gama ewg with a gambler loco lizard
  24. because i use power pro, i rarely lose any baits. i did break off a chatterbait once, this is when they were really hot and hard to get, but i dove in the water which was 12 feet deep and i got it back. i will every once in a while gut hook a fish and cut the line at the hook, so the fish can survive.
  25. without a doubt lillies. however, i always look for 3 types of vegetation together. ie-lillies, hydrilla, and coon tails.
