  1. Also try a small 2"-3" grub on a 1/8oz jig head, use small diameter line preferably fluorocarbon. T
  2. But how do you explain the Tackle Warehouse label on the shipping tube ? Just food for thought to my fellow conspirator's. T
  3. I have used the 15# and liked it ,it cast well and had good abrasion resistance. It seems to be a very managable line. T
  4. Good choice Hammer , I have 4 previous generation Chronarch's ...3-100A's and a 100BPV ,but also have 7 Curado's..I like em all but you can tell the difference in smoothness and refinement.I hav'nt had the chance to check out the new D series Chronarchs but would assume they are a notch above the previous generation. T
  5. The Chonarch will be smoother and more refined. Is it worth $100+ ? ,only you can make that decision. T

I don't know what he can be charged with for cheating and and attempting to bilk his fellow tournament angers out of their money.I believe he stood to win a new fully rigged bass boat..that could be a felony, and from what I've read he is under suspicion for his dubious parcipitation in quite a few other tournaments. T
  7. On most spinning reels you push the button on a rear drag model to remove the spool. As refrenced in the previous post the way you are doing it is correct. T
  8. I don't throw red spinnerbaits but I heard there were a couple of tournaments on Toledo Bend in the past that were won on them. T
  9. Where did you purchase the rod ? T
  10. Welcome to the madness Bamajoker ! T

Yeah things are pretty quite about this deal..He must have a good attorney. There seems to be no news anywhere about this. Keep us posted if you hear something. T

Anybody heard any news about that prominent angler they nabbed after he weighed in with a fish he stuffed a 1 pound weight in at a Budweiser sponsored tournament in Texas ? T
  13. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but BPS reels resale value is pretty low..your probably looking at $30-$35. T
  14. Yep ,get you a big order together to take advantage of it. T
  15. http://www.***.com/malone/ You can only use this once ,it worked fine for me. T
  16. I have no experience with BPS reels but if there are 2 bearings on each end of the spool shaft it makes sense that the bearing mounted on the shaft serves the same purpose as a Shimano. Some Shimano's have the same set up.Here is a reply from the tackle tech at Tackle Tour on this question. Q: ChuckE , I have read your bearing tutorials and found them to be very informative. Maybe I am missing something, but what is the advantage of upgrading the bearing on the spool shaft ? A:Shimano does have a few reels that have a bearing mounted on the spool, that is only used during the retrieve under heavy load. That bearing does not affect casting performance. If there is enough spool deflection, that bearing will pickup the load and prevent the spool shaft from deflecting too much. T
  17. I agree , if you have bearings on both sides of the spool the bearing on your spool is for support under heavy load. There really is no gain achieved by replacing this bearing. T
  18. I forgot about that lake but everything you said as far as quality fish is true..too bad. I'm sure it will fill one day hopefully. T
  19. I have 6 older All star rods , they are as sensitive as other rods at their price point and I can assure you they will take a pounding. You are looking in the $100 range where there is a lot of competition.IMO the Falcon Bucoo and Falcon original are also fine choices. I'm sure you will get other opinions but that's my 2 cents worth. T
  20. I'm not saying anything like that , just reporting what I found out from a Falcon rep. I've never handled the newer Expert but am sure it is a fine rod and hope you enjoy it. T
  21. I'm pretty sure they are discontinued , I spoke with a rep at Falcon a couple of weeks ago concerning some info on an Expert I made a trade on and he told me they had problems with the current Experts.I would assume it was with the blanks , he did tell me that the older version of the Expert's were the best rod they have ever made. T
  22. I prefer this type ,it slides through cover and won't get hung as much. I don't use tungsten for CR. http://www.***.com/Mojo_Carolina_Slider_Weights/descpage-MCSW.html T
