  1. Do a test... silicone vs rubber. Put both in water and see which one flairs more. You'll find that the rubber does. A lot of the jig guys out in southern California won't use anything but round rubber. I have used both but find myself turning to rubber jigs exclusively. T
  2. This is what I use in 3/8 -3/4 oz. I'm not a big fan of the barrel weights. T http://www.***.com/descpage-MLRH.html
  3. I have not tried these but have been eyeing them for a while. I found some that have a screw lock lure keeper ..check these out Gambler double trouble http://www.***.com/viewlarge.html?PCODE=GDTTH T
  4. X2 and add the DT-6

Yeah.. maybe Navy Seal material there...send him over to Somolia to snipe some pirates. T
  6. Wanted to see what kind of pork you guys use on your jigs ? As far as I can tell there are only 2 suppliers of pork ..Uncle Josh and Super Pork ? T

They taste kinda like a cross between a gopher and an armadillo. T BTW nice coyote and dang fine shooting
  8. I have 2 of those rods it is a MHF T
  9. I have the Techna 7' MF and the Techna 7'MHF.I also own 6 St Croix Avids. I like them both but give the edge in sensitivity to the Fenwick. The rod weighs a little more than 4 oz (pretty light for a 7" stick)I use mine for TR worm fishing paired with a Curado 100D and use the MHF Techna paired with a Revo STX for CR , jigs and pitching. If I were you I would jump all over this and get 2 while their still on sale. There is not a better rod deal to be found for $100. T
  10. Costa Del Mar...You will notice the difference between a good pair of sunglasses and a cheap pair at the end of the day on the water. T
  11. Yeah ,almost forgot about those ....I remember just chunk and slow wind around cover could get your arm broke T
  12. Outstanding work and eye to detail. Just curious as to how much the rod weighed ? T

Any info on the outcome of the investigation on the guy they nabbed at Ray Bubbard with a fish with a 1# wieght in it ? T
  14. Theres a good deal on a Mojo with a Revo in the flea market. T
  15. I dont think so. I think Alabama rolls easily. Texas should've beat Nebraska easily If the Horns play like that against Bama (who can score, unlike Nebraska)....Texas is toast early. Sounds like the same talk preceding the Rose Bowl game with unbeatable USC...hmmm . Don't count UT out so readily , if Bama happens to win they are gonna know they were in a scrap. Either way I figure it will be a good game definitely not a blow out either way. T
  16. I agree 100% T
  17. Yup, Texas pulled it off barely..had me sweating big time especially with 1 second to play. The national championship game will be very interesting Go Horns !! T
  18. I had one at one time ..don't know where it went. It is a fixed blade which gives the lure a side to side wobble , the blade/lip is upturned and helps the lure to slide over pads, grass, stick ups etc...I have used this lure quite successfully in heavy cover situations and caught a lot of fish with it.This lure is definitely worth trying if you fish a lot of real heavy cover..IMO it is one of the best heavy cover baits that can't be matched by many. T
  19. Yeah..more evidence of that global warming thing. T
  20. Look on Reel Mechanic's site ...he has a good deal on the pliers and a punch.Save yourself the heartburn. T
  21. The 40 caliber is the caliber of choice for a lot of police departments and a lot of officers prefer the Glocks. Hopes this helps T
  22. The website says they are sold out. T
  23. I have this rod and I also have several Avid's ..while I like my Avid's the Techna AV is more sensitive and lighter IMO. The Avid and Techna are almost identical as far as the tip action .. I use mine for TR worm fishing with 1/4 oz weight. It should do fine with everything you're going to throw. T
  24. This has been my experience when the conditions you describe exist. T
  25. I have a 7' St Croix Premier MHM I use for crankbaits. It is crisp and sensitive for a $100 rod. T
