  1. Where do I get the chicken feathers ? Thanks ,T
  2. Hope someone can shed some light on the way to make my own feathered treble hooks (like on a pop-r). Where can I get chicken feathers for this purpose and what is the easy way to go about it ? Thanks ,T
  3. Those were the 2 best in my opinion.
  4. All the brilliant minds on this board and no one can come up with a homemade concoction for Real Magic or KVD line conditioner ? Tell me this is not so my Bass Resource brothers. Some one come forth and solve this mystery. T
  5. I originally spooled some 12# on my Alphas and tried fishing with a 1/4 oz shaky head with bad results (short casting distance and backlash). I then spooled it on my Chronarch and used it with 1/2 oz CR and the stuff works great. Conclusion is the line is more stiff than the softer flourocarbon lines and throwing smaller weighted lures is difficult. With heavier lures it seems to excel as the stiffness factor does not set in and for the price is a bargain. T
  6. That reel can be had for under $70 ,check Simmons sporting goods on e-bay.

  12. I did not intend to step on your new project but thought I could get an idea of the ingredients for the average joe on how to get around the high cost of the .50 cent cost spray we have have been paying $8.99 for. Any insights that you want to share ? T
  13. Silicone is petroleum based as the other 2 are not. My suspicion is that the current line conditioners are some form of glyceryn and water.Boring or not I figured all the fishermen on this board are tired of spending $8.99 for a small bottle of this stuff . I imagine someone out there (chemist ,pharmacist) would know how to make this stuff.
  14. Any body make their own line conditioner ? Something like reel magic or the new KVD spray. It can't be rocket science. T
