  1. I fished with them once when a supplier of ours invited me on a guided trip.Little did I know we were going to be using waterdogs for the day. We hooked them through the lips with a 3/0 worm hook and no weight,15# mono and a 7' MHF rod and just tossed em out there in 6'-12' of water. The fish would absolutely annihilate these things . I actually caught a fish that jumped out of the water and drug on top to the boat that wasn't even hooked ..just had a deathgrip on the thing. Depending on the ferocity of the hit you will be lucky to get 3 fish off of 1 waterdog, kinda pricey when you consider back then they were $1 each. I have not fished with them since. T
  2. I have a 6'6" MXF casting rod that I havn't used much but can tell you it is sensitive, it is a little heavier(4.6oz) than an Avid (4.1oz) it dosent balance as well as an avid and it feels more like a MH rod.It is not made in the USA T
  3. Brokeback Mountain" is not just a movie. It's also what Chuck Norris calls the pile of dead ninjas in his front yard. .

Fish it as you normally fish a shaky head (1/8-1/4oz head),TR or CR with any other worm. The 5" one is a great worm. T
  5. X2 on the Tierra 2500 , I'm a Shimano guy but I love this reel. T

I fish them on a shaky head,TR and CR. Good bait..check out the 8" model if you like big baits . T
  7. Another vote for Avon Skin so Soft ,Duck hunting guides in the rice paddies of south Texas turned me on to this a few years back. T
  8. I'm glad everything turned out OK...you have yourself a fine reel there hope you enjoy it. T
  9. Definitly fluro for the invisibility and sensitivity. As previously mentioned bites are very light ..you need the sensitivity of the fluro to detect these light bites. T
  10. This sounds like a classic case of a bad guide on your rod to me, you might want to check closer. T
  11. The problem is he said the seller e-mailed him so there is no record of correspondense on E-bay between the seller and him.E-bay cautions about such e-mails ,I have gotten them before and I delete them. The working condition of this reel does not sound like a cheap fix , but it would be hard to tell until it is dismantled and inspected. Also since when is a Chronarch mg green ? I would still try to resolve it through E-bay or paypal. T
  12. There are some on Ebay cheap

I use a 1/16oz weighted hook , it will help it not to turn over T
  14. This week Powell Rods were on sale for $95. I can't speak to them yet (mine should arrive next week ) Hey Leon out of curiosity where did you find the Powell's for $95 ? T
  15. Techna AV..more sensitive and lighter. I have owned both T
  16. You might check the Falcon Bucoo, everyone that has posted info on these rods had great things to say.Falcon also claims that all thier Bucoo models weigh less than 4oz. T
  17. I fish there but have not been since last year because of the water level and ramp availability. This lake has always fished shallow for me. This time of year I always throw a small shallow diving red crawfish pattern Bomber crankbait ,other good baits are black lizards , senkos and grape worms pitched around shallow timber..logs etc...Also a black tiny torpedo topwater has been good to me also.Try Morgan Creek and it's multiple tributaries ,Apple Orchard,Silver Creek and Jeckers Cove. T
  18. I do .... 15# for spinnerbaits and 20# for pitching/flipping You did good T
  19. Around docks yes T
  20. Your'e going to get a lot of opinions on this but these are my tried and true favorites 1. Pitching- 3/8-1/2oz Arkie head with round rubber skirt with a round bend premium hook 2.Rocks-1/2-3/4oz football head with rubber-silicone skirt or silicone skirt with a round bend hook. 3.-Boat docks-1/4oz Arkie or swim jig head with rubber on the Arkie and silicone on the swim jig. T
  21. I like them both, I have 2-STX's & 1 E7 and several past generation Curado's. That being said the Curado is the one I would choose if I had the choice of only one. T
  22. First off remember we are in a buyers market . I buy and trade guns on occasion, without knowing what model Nikon you have I would say the rifle will bring $400-$500 and the scope $75-$200 depending on the model. My best guess T
  23. IMO his rod (whatever it was) did not win the tournament for him...he found the right spot at the right time.
  24. I think Eaker is over 70 years old and fishing the Elite series.. One of these tournaments would exhaust most guys on this board...my hats off to this man. T
