How To Bass Fish At Night?
I started my girlfriend on a baitcaster and she was using one in about 10 casts. it's really not that hard. the lure should barely fall when you push the thumb button. This adjustment is made on the knob behind the reel cranking handle. Adjust one way or the other until it barely falls or just a shade tighter to learn. As far as lures some of my favorite ponds lures are jitterbugs hula poppers and black 1/2 oz spinnerbaits with big thumper copper blades.

Help With Sammy
A rod with a pretty soft tip and mono line is a must. A Sammy either walks slow( jerk/pause or really fast. If I want a medium speed I generally go with a spook,.

Us Open Mead
I was curious if any of yo have ever fished the Won bass US Open at lake Mead? I have been streaming it the last couple of days. it looks like a cool venue to do. I think I am going to make the trip out next year to fish AAA. I have a boat but am not ready to go "pro". We have a local angler in it I believe this is his fourth year. I will forsure pick his brain about it, But was looking to see what others had to say about it. Thanks!

How Much Is A Bass Boat?
If you watch craigslist that about the best place to get an idea on pricess for something that will fit your needs? I have about 6k in the boat in my pictures but I did pretty well on it. Its not the pretty fastest boat on the water. But its sure nice when you kick the snot outta the guys with big fancy 60 k boats.

Soft Plastic Storage
Yes I agree about the original packages. I found a system I thought would work by taking ducttape and a sandwich bag. Then I could clip them to a strip oraganizer under the lids in my boat... it didn't work. The duct tape glue melts when it gets hot and falls off, leaving sticky stuff on everything you touch. Now I am taking them all out and putting them in similar bags to originals. I think I need to buy some mid size boxes as well.So I can match the amount above bags to the appropriate size box. I have a few that there is some air space in that I could uttilize by going with a smaller box.

Fishing Line On The Prop Shaft Again
I just checked my big motor and yesI had some line. I do it about 1 time per summer. My trolling motor gets it a lot. I can hear it out of balance when I get into some. It happens here a lot as we have a ton of bank fisherman.

Tournament Rules
We fish a lot of small water generally its a cast distance is the limit. If you are fishing banks coming towards each other its one thing but you don't just motor up on someone and make camp. I generally will pull in behind someone and not infront of the direction their boat is heading. I have had it done to me a couple times this year and it REALLY gets my goat. I put that in my little mental rolodex. They may need something sometime.

Found The Shad Where Are The Bass?
I struggle a lot with the same scenario. I have begn to fish structure as near but not in the school. The bass actively feeding will not look twice at what might be a shade over the real deal swimming ifront of there face. There is a good article in the new BASS magazine about this very thing.

Soft Plastic Storage
Thanks fpr the reply. I currently try to leave out of the boat like only hauling my lizard box in the spring. Often we will be fishing largemouth on a weekend then smallmouth on a tues or thurs night. I have often thought of a similar idea and creating boxes for specific lakes. Complete down to the correct jighead size. I am primarily a soft bait fisherman so I got a ton of baits in many different colors.

"spybaiting"
I am trying to come up with something different for our summertime clear water bass. Alot of this makes sense to me as I generally drop line size or lure size when the bite gets tough. How would this tactic work with a weighted jerkbait or weighed senko?

Soft Plastic Storage
I was digging thru my boat looking for a paticular plastic that I was needing. It was a mess! I need a better system. I currently run clear labeled boxes but those are crammed full. Do any of you run smaller more precisely organized boxes? What do you do when you have too much tackle?

Bass Fishing In Colorado
Good for you!! I can tell you the bigger lakes right now are TOUGH!! I have been going to the smaller private spots and catching 30-40 a night on topwater. One of the most memorable for the year will be my girlfriend's 4 lber. It came 2 feet outta the water to karate chop her buzzbait. AWESOME!

Identifying Crankbaits
- Whats Your Most Successful Crankbait, Color & Size
For years, I threw a DT22 for summertime +/- 10' suspended bass. This is about the only time I throw a crank. This year I found a guy on FB OSS custom baits. I had him make me several 2.5's in various colors. My most successful was a Rainbow smelt ( which is our forage fish). It basically looks like a rainbow trout without spots. Grinding it on the rocks is where they really shine. Infact its my go to for a tournament tomorrow night. I hope it works!- Buzz Baits??
Love em!! We caught 40 yesterday in 2 hours 1 over 5 and 3 over 4. We also caught several small <10" fish so it shows all sizes will eat it.- Drop Shotting Dirty Water
I am watching this too. I just bought a buncha worms to try mainly blacks and a few with a chart tail. - Whats Your Most Successful Crankbait, Color & Size
