Hey guys, I'm a returning member after many (5+ ) years. I first joined about 10 years ago as a teenager, and after graduating high school, I spent some time at college in coastal Florida, where the primary focus was inshore saltwater species. Since moving back to Atlanta in 2010, Bass fever immediately gripped me once again... Now at 27, I'm ready to share some of my experiences since becoming inactive on the forums, as well as continue to hone my fishing skills. I tend to take a scientific approach to fishing; not only do I like to know what catches fish, but also why. I am happy to see a number of familiar names and faces on the forums, and I'm looking forward to meeting some new members and gaining some new knowledge. Tight Lines and Fish on!

I just found out yesterday that one of my friends (20) and his brother (24) were killed in a car accident on thursday in WV. According to the Washington post, they were stuck in traffic when a semi rear ended them, pushing their car under the semi in front of them. Apparently a fire broke out which "spread rapidly through the vehicles, burning the passenger vehicle beyond recognition". Holt was a great person and was taken too early. I don't mean to hijack the thread, I just wanted to point out that while many of us young people do drive like idiots, they are not always at fault when they are involved in tragedies on the road.

I dont really like the ligament and cartilage. I ate all the meat off of each wing, which me and my friends decided counted as the whole wing, but i could see where you are coming from.

Now how you guys gonna forget good ol' fried chicken? And this is a fishing forum, how about a fried grouper burger? Those are excellent.

I love food of all types. As a matter of fact, i just finished a nice ham sandwich. I think I have decimated chicken populations at times when I get my hands on some wings. My personal record is 51 wings in 1 sitting. I could have done more, but the taste just got to me. If I had more flavors, I probably could have gone 60-75. I may try to break the my record this year. Saw it last night, and I was amazed. This could very well turn out to be the best movie of the year. Ledger's joker was incredible, one of the best villains in recent memory. Despite having a long runtime (2 hours 30 minutes), the movie never looses pace and keeps the audience's interest throughout. There are also some parts that will make you laugh a good bit (Joker's magic trick with the pencil was classic). What I'm trying to say here is, if you are not out fishing, you should be out watching this movie!

Reminds me of a 4 pounder I caught a few years ago. The first thing I noticed upon landing it was its massive teeth. It actually drew blood when it bit down on my thumb.

I'm going to see it in a few hours. I have been waiting all summer for it, and from what I have heard, it is well worth the wait.

I Browse Floridasportsman.com in order to expand my saltwater fishing knowlege. I also frequent I-am-bored.com, which does help with the boredom. I also make/browse dumb videos on Youtube. When I'm inside and not on the computer, I read fishing magazines, watch tv and wrestle my dog.

No, red eye bass (shoal bass) are different from rock bass. Red eye bass are shaped like "bass", while rock bass are shaped more like panfish.

Just had a great meal of ribs, baked potatoes and some squash. Now its time to watch stuff blow up!

I'd hate to sound like a jerk, but how bout this kid that got killed at the six flags here in Georgia last week? He and a friend jumped over 2 fences and by one witnesses account, tried to grab the feet of one of the passengers. My heart goes out to the family, but in who's mind does that seem like a good idea?

Georgia boy born and raised. I live in Decatur, which is the metro Atlanta area. Proud to say I shook hands with both Pacman Jones and Calvin Johnson back in the high school football days.
