  1. I like the idea but what happens when the claws get pulled off?
  2. Great news. I bought a bunch from the web site when they had them, but also saw them gone when I checked to re-order.
  3. The Original Trick Worm is your bait. Salt makes baits sink.
  4. Looks like the Riot Baton in this video comparison is something to consider.
  5. At my local DFW Dick's Sporting Goods today, on the sale rack were Keitech 3.8's marked down to $5.47. They also had a blue dot which according to the sign today was buy 5 - get 5 free. So 10 packs were $2.75 each! It won't hurt to lose them or tear them up as much now lol! I will have to check other locations now...
  6. Savage Gear makes a 1/10 oz - 1/0 screw lock https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/catpage-SVGTT.html?from=basres
  7. ..and on the Rage Tail Lobster!
  8. I believe they just came out. TW is already sold out! https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/catpage-SVGBTS.html?from=basres
  9. In order, with the skirt my best results have been with a Rage Menace rigged vertically, a big grub or a Super Fluke. Without the skirt by far is the LFT Magic Shad (which is also my fav chatterbait trailer). If fact, you can use just about anything. I got my butt whipped one Spring by my buddy who was throwing the Buzz Saw in white with a Merthiolate Trick Worm as the trailer.
  10. My go to buzz bait - the D&M Buzz Saw. Big EWG swinging hook lets you rig a trailer for a weedless presentation.
  11. Lefty Kreh knot. I'm not going to say you can't screw it up, but you would have to try to do so.
  12. Yes! The Baby Menace on a Siebert Sniper finesse jig in Blue Craw has been $$$.
  13. The Shock would be a great choice since it is designed for braid so it has a little more flex than a flippin' stick. Plus it is very budget friendly and a very underrated rod IMO.
  14. My hook ups went way up when I switched to the D&M Buzz Saw. With the big, free-swinging EWG hook that's farther back, I can rig a Fluke, big grub or even a Trick Worm and it's weedless to boot. I also will sometimes remove the skirt and use a swimbait like the LFT Magic Shad.
  15. Although they are getting hard to find, The Dangle Berry Rig is what you want. The weight on the hook slides back & forth when you twitch/jerk the bait. It is VERY erratic. Fishin' World in Dallas had them the last time I was there.
  16. I have the baitcaster and am very happy with it.
  17. Stephen B nailed it. I prefer Tatsu even at it's high price because it is going to last longer than any other fluro I've used. Many times I've stripped it off and reversed it without issue. And it is by far my fav leader material with braid.
  18. Got my MB on eBay for $108.00 shipped.
  19. My go to is the D&M Buzz Saw: http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/DM_Custom_Baits_Buzz_Saw_In-Line_Buzzbait/descpage-DMBZ.html I LOVE the free swinging hook so I can rig the trailer weedless.
  20. Just to get the additional military discount.
  21. I have 3 of the Okuma Stratus reels that DSG sells. One on my Ned set up, one on my medium weightless set up and even a 4000 series on an Ugly Stick Tiger Elite rod that I throw giant topwater baits with braid. Years of use without a single failure. And they are always on sale in the $35 - $45 range.
  22. I have one & really like it. I got mine on the auction site for $133.00 shipped.
  23. I use these stainless finishing nails from HD. That way if I throw one back in the tray, I don't have to worry about rust. You get 75 for $1.67. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Crown-Bolt-1-in-Stainless-Finishing-Nails-75-Pack-03514/203436055
  24. I think they are. Megabass is usually top quality. The bait has been durable also.
  25. No brown bass where I fish but it has been a very good bait for the largemouth. Best results for me have been to fish it like a jig. But sometimes they will smash it when you are burning it back for the next cast. Then you know to switch to a swimming retrieve or burn it & kill it.
