I have always used Owner or Gammys but I was getting my butt kicked by my partner, both of us using a drop shot. I was getting an equal # of bites, but he was landing almost all of his and I was about 40%. We both had ML rods, 12 lb braid to an 8# leader. He asked me what hook I was using. At that time I had an Owner on. He said try these and handed me a pack made by Hayabusa. I never lost another fish that day. Now I very well could have been sleeping with the Owner & just happened to wake up with the hook switch. But I later tried some of their worm hooks & they are great also & nicely priced. Like most of you, I have a sizable investment/inventory in Owner, Gammy, Trokar, VMC etc. If I can have a terminal tackle garage sale one day, I will switch to all Hayabusa except for the bigger Owner Beast swimbait hooks. The biggest they make now is 7/0.

I can't add anything to what has been said about multi-joint baits - the ones mentioned are proven. However don't give up on single joint baits like the Savage Gear Shine Glide and the River2Sea S-Waver. They fit your budget and are killer baits.

It does make you wonder. I may have been lucky post production but I definitely had my doubts leading up to actually receiving the rods. Every day you would read another horror story....

I can understand their frustrations with the communication - it sucks. That being said, the rods I ordered both said 3 - 5 weeks for delivery. I was notified the 1st rod shipped on the 6th week. I received it 2 days later in great shape. I received shipping info on the 2nd rod on the 4th week and got it about a week later in great shape. The 2nd rod was shipped in the middle of the Xmas season so I was surprised to get it when I did (USPS). I guess what I am saying is that once they get the order produced, the communication improves dramatically. Up until then, it is pathetic. So far I have used the spinning rod and it is phenomenal. Other than my 2 swimbait rods, I don't own a rod that cost over $100.00 so this was a stretch for me. But given the quality I received, I could easily sell my rod stash and replace with these - especially if I can get them before they go to the $300 price point they stated as the price after pre-production. They are still $149 on the web site, so I sent them an email to ask if the rods were in stock now or still pre-production orders - crickets lol!

On the spinning rod, yes. on the MH I will have to actually test it. Like I said it is incredibly light. Just manually flexing the rod, it seems a tad overrated. But let me use it to be fair. If it works as well as it looks and feels, I will order again before the price goes up!

Received the casting rod Friday and the spinning rod Saturday. Unbelievably light. Fit and finish is way above it's price point. Now to get them on the water!

You'll be fine - it's less than an ounce heavier.

Size 30 is great for bass fishing unless you are Ned Rigging. Then I would go smaller. Nice reel for the $.

I jumped on the pre-order for the Delta series for a couple of rods back in early October. My confirmation said 3-5 weeks, someone said the FB page said December delivery. I have the Maverick 8' H fast swimbait rod. I absolutely love it. If the swimbait bite is slower than it's "normal" slow, I tie a big jig on and never miss a beat.

Agree with Bluebasser86. Bone first, then Powder and Pac Man if Carp are present. The Savage Gear Shine Glide is a great bait also.

I think Horton is a principal in the company. He has been promoting them for a couple of years now. I really like their lipless crank - Azuma Shaker Z in the color Aztec. Tackle warehouse carry's the line now also.

5" & 6" mostly - I have one of the 9" but I get more bites on the 5 & 6. I just picked up a couple of the new 4" but haven't thrown them yet.

The Shad & Gill will both get bit - I get more bites on the Shad than the Gill even on lakes where they are dominant. You are correct about that Morning Dawn colored rat in the daytime. At night or low light conditions the darker colors work best for me.

Agreed on the Perch color. That's the one I had to have repainted! I have been told they show up on flea bay every now and then but I've missed them if they have.
