  1. I have a friend that recently got into bass fishing and I recommended the Fuego LT. He bought 2 and loves them. I also love mine. Tons of people love the BG. I prefer lighter reels like the Fuego, so the BG was never an option for me. Both very popular in the $100 price range.
  2. Bumping for any updated feedback on the Tatula vs Kage.
  3. My friend has a Fuego LT spinning reel and the drag knob accidentally fell in the water and he was unable to find it. I tried searching every where online for a replacement drag knob, and I had no luck finding any. Any recommendations on where to purchase a replacement? Thanks
  4. I use Costas in green mirror 580p which are copper based. Highly recommend them.
  5. Im excited about this one. I’m surprised it took them this long to come out with the Jr +1.
  6. I vote for the Tatula CT. If you look around, you can find used but excellent condition Tatulas SVs for the same price as well.
  7. Does anyone know if Daiwa reels are discounted once it is purchased like Shimano items? EDIT: My friend ordered a Daiwa Tatula CT and discount was also shown in the purchased confirmation email.
  8. When I researched this in the past, I found that a lot of 110 users also recommended the Gamakatsu Nano Finesse in #5.
  9. Exactly. I use Gamakatsu in 1/8 to 1/4. Another thing I like to use with smaller swimbaits are the Megabass Okashira Screwheads. Also keep in mind that 2.8 fat impact is the smallest I have used. I have not used the 2” that you were interested in. I also rig up the 3” keitech Easy Shiner the same way and they are pretty tiny too.
  10. I use the 2.8” fat impact for bass all the time. I use it on a round jig head and swim it or hop it.
  11. Thanks man I appreciate it.
  12. I remember this rig from back in 2013. I made a bunch in different sizes but I stopped fishing. I still have some made but have used it only on occasion. I believe Gamakatsu sells it calling it the “Gika Rig”.
  13. I have 5 Zolos and they are plenty sensitive for me. I never fished G. Loomis rods so I have no comparison to them. I love my Zolos but I’m just a weekend warrior. ALX usually have their 3 bundle rod sale this time of the year too.
  14. I always wished we had a sticky with all the bass fishing terminology. I think it would help so many people. I still don’t know what rip rap is...haha
  15. I had the 703 and 704. I preferred throwing spinnerbaits on the 704. Loved throwing lipless cranks on the 703.
  16. I have the Ardito spinning rod and I like it. It’s 3 piece and pretty solid. They are pricey compared to some of the others but I think I paid $80 for mine. They are worth a look.
  17. I never cared for it. I removed mine from my 3000 Ci4+ and replaced it with a 2500 knob.
  18. Same here. I already have too many but recently purchased a bunch Duo Realis pencils in the 85 and 65 size. Those things are so easy to walk even at it’s small size.
  19. I use the Mustad triple grips in size 6 for the 1/4oz RES.
  20. For those that have the Monkey Half Wool, how is the sizing? The sizes available is either S/M or L/XL. My hands are M/L. Which one should I go with?
  21. ALX use mid micro guides. So it’s bigger than standard micro guides. Leader knots are not a problem. I have multiple rods in both the Zolos and Ikos series and love them. Alex the owner has answered my questions multiple times and seems always happy to help. I wouldn’t mind trying an Expride though like others have suggested. Heard nothing but good things.
  22. Bottom pic, top left....pearl and blue...what color is that? Looks like Oyster but never seen one with blue like that?
  23. Yes. I do all the time. I have a love hate relationship with it.
