Great band!
I'm just glad Flea was wearing clothes in that video.

Baseballs Purity
Given his nature, this revelation doesn't surprise me. ARod has shown that he has the character of a piece of mushy pasta.

Two thumbs down. I bought some last year. 10 pound test if I am not mistaken. What I had snapped rather easily. Where was it breaking? At the knot?

Cranking rods with long butts?
Damned if I know. The rod is pretty light for the size. I love foam and split handles, so it was the only thing out there I had an eye for.

Cranking rods with long butts?
Take a look at the Quantum KVD rods. The butt on the 7'10 model is right at 15" from the reel seat back. It will almost tuck under my arm. Browse the rods at Tackle Warehouse as they have photos of everything and give a good idea of how long the butt is.

High school basketball officials
It must have improved over there then. The Arby's used to be the worst called games I ever saw. Maybe it has improved. RC played North last year and RC's girls coach asked for a time out after an RC steal. The official said he couldn't have it, then asked after RC threw the ball out of bounds if he wanted that time out now. I got called for a flagrant against Volunteer because a guy tried hurdling me and landed on my shoulders. : I haven't been to any games in TN other than Arby's games in several years. I think TS played at Central a couple of times during that last run. IMO the consistency is much better in TN. You may get the occasiional clueless jackhole, but for the most part they all know what they're doing. On this side of the state line, it seems every crew has at least one clueless zebra, sometimes they are all clueless.

Shimano calcutta question
The spool doesn't hold alot of the high lb test line you would be using for flipping and the drag on the 50 sized reel is lighter than what you find on the 200 series also a serious consderation when flipping in heavy cover and you need to turn a fish's head. You don't need more than 15-20 yards of line if you're flipping. And the 50's drag can be improved with aftermarket drag washers. If I wasn't in love with the beauty of low profile reels, I would fish nothing but Calcutta 50's.
