  1. Night light? I stopped using those when I was 5.
  2. Yes, that's the point of a centrifugal braking system.
  3. Shoulda bought a Merc. Crap happens, you don't want to know my last weekend...
  4. Puh puh puh PLine CXX 8 or 10 lb.
  5. You aren't asking for much, are you?
  6. I'll say this, the sucker is light. But they severely over-state the power & action on the rods. The 6'8 MXF is more like a ML-moderate fast. Bought it for the wife as a general purpose rod, but I don't think it will be much but a light-duty small worm rod. I don't understand why they don't make a 7' MH-F. Don't they think women will fish a 7' worm rod?
  7. If clothing manufacturers would make all their clothing in the same sizes? Carhartt jeans, 34 waist fit great. Wrangler jeans, 34 waist swallow me whole. Large Under Armour shirts fit great, Nike Dri-Fit large fits like a UA Medium while the Nike XL fits like a UA XL. It's insanity...
  8. Wha-coo? :-? Different Strokes is the first TV program I can remember watching. d**n that was a long time ago.
  9. Durability isn't an adjective I'd use to describe Rage Tail baits. It is just the nature of the bait. To achieve the desired action, the plastic is going to have to be thinner. I use them, haven't noticed that they have increased my catch rate. I still have better luck using Yamamoto plastics.
  10. Would you like to expand on that? There is absolutely no reason to buy cheap junk. It will end up costing you more money in the long run.
  11. Of those listed, the W&M Skeet Reese rods. The 7' Spinnerbait/Worm is an excellent spinnerbait/small crankbait rod.

  13. Nice fish, more photos of your sister please.
  14. Your challenge has been accepted. But then you southern folk need to come up and fish the Potomac. x2 and don't forget your frogs. I hate frogs, grass and braid. Oh, well you should just bring your finesse stuff and spinning rigs. ;D If I'm not throwing a jig, crank or spinnerbait, I'm not happy. You don't know how miserable I've been over the last couple of months using spinning tackle 75% of the time. If I never throw another splitshot rig or shaky head, it will be too soon.

  16. Too much crap on that head. A ball or football head is easier to snake through rock. I don't know what kind of rock you guys fish, but this is what I fish every time I'm on the water. Got a package of the shaky heads at the road trip last year. Tried one earlier this year on a similar bank. Two casts, gone. Tied on another, I think it lasted 10 casts before being sacrificed to the stone gods. Tie on a Picasso Shakedown or a similar style, I rarely get hung. Very easy to free when hung. They may work for some people, but for me, I would be better off just taking the money I would spend on one of the Evo-style jigs and throwing it in the lake.
  17. There should be a (for the lack of a better term) nut on the bottom side of the plate. You've got to spin that off and the pump should come right out.
  18. You girls need to come down and fish the Clinch and Holston.
  19. All you guys should have taken were 3" white and pumpkinseed grubs and a crapload of 1/8 oz. unpainted leadhead jigs.
  20. Same here until the past 2 years. I used to call it the q-rig. (quitter rig)....now after several years of refusing to throw it anymore, I'm throwing it on a regular basis again now. Anytime the fish are relating/feeding on the bottom, thats when I throw it. I'm like everyone else on 'where' I throw it but I seldom throw it in less than 10 ft of water. Just couldn't take that butt-whipping on KY Lake last year, could ya?
