  1. A friend of mine was standing in the middle of an overgrown field taking a leak with his gun slung across his chest. He looked up to see a pretty good 8 pt. walking towards him. The buck saw him about the same time. My friend grabbed his gun and swung it up and fired off a shot from the hip just as the deer turned to run away. He hit the deer right in the back of the head and dropped it in it's tracks. ;D All the while with his pants around his ankles.
  2. That was a reenactment of an actual event.
  3. Took me a week to find the d**n hook keeper. It's in the d**n handle! :-?
  4. You never know when that buck of a lifetime will walk down that trail!
  5. Yes on both accounts. It is better to have them and not need them than to not have them and need them. My club usually has a bag or two at every weigh-in if you do not have one, but it can take a long time to get your hands on one of them. It depends a lot on how big the boat is, etc. I usually take six with me and will have spares in the truck if needed. Do not be afraid to ask questions. If you are unsure of something, ask someone.
  6. CV = carrier vessel
  7. I'm starting to sound like a broken record, but BPS is quickly descending the slippery slope. Their drive for expansion has killed the company.
  8. I'm about this > < close to telling BPS to go screw themselves.
  9. You've heard Muddy describe how cold it is. ;D ;D ;D

You do know that having a photo editing program won't make those things you call pictures look any better.
  12. Three hours before this one was taken, that bottle was full. I was the only whisky drinker at the table. An hour after this photo was taken, that lasagna pan in front of me was full again. :-[ I do not miss those days. Still have that bottle, haven't taken a drink out of it since that night. Just the smell of irish whisky makes me sick.
  13. Why on earth do you want to use 14-17 lb. line on a spinning reel?
  14. He is also getting paid to say that. When Skeet wants to start buying my line, then I'll switch to flouro. Until then, :-X
  15. That's boat rash waiting to happen.
  16. Mike, if memory serves you've got a Lowrance H2O GPS reciever. I figured you'd have a map card for it as well. Best $150 (or less for previous year's models) you'll ever spend.

Start -> My Computer -> place pointer over C: (HDD is usually C). Should have a small 'pop-up' under the pointer that will tell you how much free space you have. Unless you bought a cheaper than dirt machine, you should have no worries about HDD space when installing a program. That said, if you do not have a separate video card you might have trouble with a program or two. Depends on what you're trying to do and what program you choose.
  18. The trinitrotoluene rig has baffled me for years. 2008 will see me master it.
  19. You people near the Equator can go make whoopee to a goat.
  20. If memory serves, my last of 07 was caught in late September.
  21. I was always partial to a Padron Maduro 3000. Nice and spicy. Check out Punch as well. I used to burn a couple every 18 holes.
  22. After pouring my heart out for a while, I now know just why these things cost an arm and a leg. Granted, my only pouring experience before these were leadheads in production molds. The hooks are easy to handle and you have something to hold onto when you remove the sprues. These drop shot weights are a different story altogether. The swivels are tiny and hard to handle, esp. for someone with sausage fingers. After pouring 10 batches, the mold is so hot you have to burn your fingers to get the swivels in place. Removing the sprues requires a bit more strength since there isn't anything to grab. Beginning to wonder why I didn't just go with split shot.
  23. It's been around for a while, but only showed up in my neck of the woods in the last month or so. Then again, I'm so far back in the sticks I'm still using a JFG coffee can to get my internet.
