Kissing your fish
I would express my feelings for the fish, but I'd probably be sent packing.

Ike's DVD
$25 for 45 minutes. Worth it? All too often fishing videos turn out to be the same thing as the shows we see every day on Vs, TOC, ESPN, etc. I want a good teaching video.

does anyone know if the double paddle design of ..
I didn't try the retrieve. Just did a quick (which isn't that quick given the nature of the Stradic handle attachment) swap. The stud on the Spirex handle is just a bit smaller than that of the Stradic handle, hence the slop. I would try on my Symetre, but it is a 750.

A Spirex 2000FE handle will fit a Stradic 2500FH, although the fit isn't as snug as the original Stradic handle.

Flouro for trout?
Just buy some 4 lb. or 6 lb. Berkley Vanish. I would recommend the 6 given the refractive properties of flourocarbon.

Walmart topic again
You do realize that virtually every 'school shooter' did not purchase a gun themselves. Take Columbine for example. Those guns were acquired via straw purchase by one of their girlfriends. They were not of legal age to purchase firearms. How would increasing the age one must be in order to purchase long arms have stopped that incident? 99% (obviously I'm oversimplifying) of guns used in crimes are stolen or otherwise acquired by illegal means. An age limit will not do anything to remedy that problem. Gun manufacturers and retailers can not be held responsible for misuse of a item once it has left their premises. If the offending party lies on the 4473 in order to acquire the firearm, then they are to blame, not the retailer. The bottom line is that if someone wants a gun in order to commit a crime, they are going to get it. Be it from the illegal gun market or via a straw purchase. The only thing that banning all firearms will accomplish is ensuring that only criminals will posess arms.

I hope you're being facetious.

Best Senko knockoffs
I've tried several of the non-Yamamoto stick baits. The BPS Stik-O is a good one. I don't consider the Kinami Flash to be a 'knock-off' as it is made by Yamamoto. The one bait that I have been really disappointed with are the Case Magic Sticks.

BPS II - The Bait Monkey Strikes Back
It isn't bad for just rods. It will only hold 9 complete rigs though. It is good enough for what I wanted it for though. At least it gets all of my rigs out of the corner.

FWIW, Eagle Claw 570 2/0 aberdeens will fit in the Do-It 1/8 oz. molds.

Would you use 1 pound test??
I can barely tie knots with 4 lb. Super Silver Thread. I can't imagine trying to tie with 1 lb. braid.

Harvick wins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Going to take me a long time to get used to the new look for the car. I watched almost the entire race, then fell asleep on the couch for the last 20 laps. :'(

adding salt to the wound?
My HS car was an 85 Ford Escort diesel station wagon. It had 160K miles on it when I got it. Ran it for a year before the engine blew. Filled it up once a month. I miss that car. :'(

BPS II - The Bait Monkey Strikes Back
Braved 4" of snow, bad roads, high winds and low temps to travel to Bass Pro yesterday. I was blindsided. :-X Not pictured is a BPS Extreme 6'6 M casting rod. Just couldn't pass it up.

Attacked by the baitmonkey today.....
My wife was really wanting to go to BPS on Saturday, I wasn't. I knew if I went I would spend way way too much. Luckily (for my wallet), a death in my family will keep us from going. Should have got the Lowrance 111. Roland Martin says so.

They don't have that much control. Or any control at all.

Going to start pouring
I'm tired of paying out the arse for leadhead jigs with undersized hooks. I go through a lot of them every year fishing the river (about all I use in the river is a 1/8 or 1/4 oz. jighead with a 3 or 4" grub). Looking through my Netcraft catalog, they have the Do-It molds for a good price. Now for the question. The 1/8 oz. production mold says either 1 or 1/0 aberdeen jig hook. I would rather use a 2/0. Would that be out of the question?

ESPN and NASCAR.
I like it if for no other reason than I'll be able to watch a few races in HD.
