  1. I am not that familiar with RAM products, but that should work.
  2. You might get 30 yards of 10 lb. on that reel. ;D Anything more than a 10 oz. bass on that reel will result in a 20 minute fight. Take ReelMech's advice.
  3. Transducer will work, need a TM mount kit.
  4. Happy belated birthday. I hit 30 last Sunday. I hear it is all downhill from here.
  5. Talk about a weird first drag.
  6. The municipalities only see a fraction of that money.

You owe me a monitor. Mine is now covered in green tea and cheese nips.
  8. Humminbird PirahnaMax 20 is a good one. I bought one last March and used it all year without a hiccup. Runs on 8 AA batteries, so invest in some good rechargable batteries. Cabelas offers several models that they do in house. Comes in a nice nylon carry bag with a suction cup on the transducer. I think most of them run off of a 6V lantern battery. Consider the battery before buying anything. With the PMax20, I would get 8-9 hours out of a charge in warm weather, considerably less in cold weather. You want something that takes a battery you can recharge.
  9. I called the GM store near me and asked them what was up with there website. The answer i got was "oh, yeah.. there working on it" that was like 4 months ago. :-? Gander Mountain sold their mail order/catalog business to Cabelas in the mid 90s.
  10. The petro distillates act as a carrier in Reel (or Real) Magic.
  11. Checked my local store today. FLW finesse worms for $1.50 a bag, but bad color. A few 3X soft jerkbaits for $1.50 a bag. They did have Uncle Josh #11 trailers in blue for $2.50 a jar. I stocked up on those. Had a few display reels on sale as well. Just waiting for them to put that last TDA-153 on sale.
  12. Creek fishing for trout...2 or 3 a day. Once lost 2 Super Dupers and a Rooster Tail on consecutive casts last spring. Bass fishing...rarely if ever lose a lure. I think I lost one last year. A DT-10 while trolling. Saw the log on the graph, it was about 11' deep. Surely that DT is running about 9'. Nope, it was running just deep enough to catch the log. >
  13. Unless I'm fishing back to back days, I always recharge after a day on the water. Never had any trouble.
  14. Not a bad looking boat at all. Price seems good enough to me.
  15. 5BL, I've been to two of the Charlotte events and they have always offered the trade-in deal.
  16. I have always wanted to try ice fishing. But we're lucky to get 2" of ice here. We've had about 2 weeks of really cold weather and the lakes are only partially covered with an inch or less.
  17. The Bait Monkey doesn't come into play until you're clearing a store's shelves in fear of not being able to get your favorite baits anymore. A couple of weeks ago, I bought every pack of Kinami Flash that my local WM had. If they have restocked when I go back, I will probably clear them out again.
  18. Same thing happened to a friend and I last summer. Cruising along, turned into a cove, went almost to the head of it, turned that last little curve and there was a pontoon beached. For a moment I thought we had made a wrong turn and ended up at Sea World. :-?
  19. Same here. The good thing about a cell is that it is quite easy to block incoming callers as well.
  20. Hopefully you can put me on at least one big fish. All I ask is for a 5+.
  21. The only place to get GYBC baits. BPS carries the Ikas in most of their stores, but not in the catalogs.
  22. Remember, just because they advertise a low price doesn't mean that you're getting a good deal. I would never (and I mean NEVER) buy a camera online or sight unseen.
  23. Exactly. I can't see paying $220 for a BPS Johnny Morris Elite when you can get a Daiwa Zillion for $250 or a Shimano Chronarch for $270 or a Curado for $200.
  24. There goes any respect I had for Penn.
  25. It is only a problem if you end up having to use those receipts as breakfast, lunch, and dinner while living in your tackle bag fortress.
