MYSPACE.COM
I still don't and I've got a page. Did help me find an old friend that I hadn't seen in 5 or 6 years.

Bassmaster Magazine
Usually read it cover to cover within a couple of days of receiving it. Pretty much the only magazine that I read that way.

Opinions on the movie BORAT!
It was exactly what I expected. Half trainwreck, half humor. The nude fight scene was the most humorous part for me.

The trouta were abitin...
Caught on your old Symetre.

UPS and Fishing Rods (A Nasty Combo)
It is a crapshoot with all of the shipping companies. I've gotten packages from all three major (FedEx, UPS, USPS) shipping companies that were in bad shape. Heck, I once had a set of golf clubs shipped from Chile. They came via DHL and were in darn good shape when they got to me. I guess my worst experience was getting two canoe paddles in a long box via UPS. How those paddles stayed in one piece is beyond me. There was barely a box left.

Citica200D vs. Advantage Super Tuned
I have both, I love both. Two of the Citica, one of the Daiwa. If I could get another deal on a Daiwa, I would have another of those. They are both fine reels and you can't go wrong with either one.

My 4 blade spinnerbait
I can't imagine the drag that thing creates.

Lubing steering cables
Everything I have read indicates that lubing the cable adequately is pretty much impossible. I'm in the same situation with my old boat. I'm going to try to make it through this year before replacing the cable.

Help me pick a portable charger
I have the Schumacher SC1200A and I couldn't be happier with it. I charge using the 8 amp setting. Usually takes about 3 hours to charge my MAXX G29's. You got a better deal than I. Purchased the charger at WM last summer for around $60.

ROD SOCKS
http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/pod/horizontal-pod.jsp?_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common/catalog/pod-link.jsp_A&_DAV=MainCatcat20166-cat20325&rid=&indexId=cat20325&navAction=push&masterpathid=&navCount=2&parentType=index&parentId=cat20325&id=0037306 I've grown quite fond of the Cabelas Advanced cover with the hook guard. They do a great job of keeping my rigs from getting tangled in the rod locker.

The trouta were abitin...
Caught 12 rainbows yesterday. Smallest was 12", biggest 18". Threw a jig & pig for a while after I caught my limit, caught nothing but coontail and stickfish. Water was 44* at noon, 46* at 5:30.

Any of you guys use Rogaine?
I came to terms with pattern baldness long long ago. I have it on both sides. Funny thing is that it didn't hit everyone. My dad's two brothers didn't lose much hair at all, while dad and my grandfather lost quite a bit on top. On my mother's side, the two oldest uncles are both losing quite a bit. My grandfather on that side lost almost all of it before the end. Growing up my parents wouldn't let me have long hair (not that I wanted it, high and tight almost all of the time). Once I got older (around 20), I decided to give it a try. I went about 8 months without a cut and it was the nastiest thing you've ever seen. Decided to start shaving my head. Did that for a few years, then decided to give long hair another try. Went 8 months, looked like I had a huge hair bowl on the top of my head. Shaving every other day does get tiresome. In the winter I might go 2-3 weeks before shaving. Hell on the skin to get back into the groove, but it keeps my head warm.

The first batch
Why pay $20 when you can make that for $5 with some scrap wood and a couple of pieces of all-thread? I'm going to pour some more this weekend. I'll try the candle thing once I find a suitable candle to steal from the old lady.

Surface Floating Plastic Worms ?
The BPS branded floating worms do float, but the colors are horrible. The 'green pumpkin' color is actually more of a lime green.

What do you eat?
For those that bring along tea on a hot day, did you know that tea is a diuretic? If you are going to drink anything while it is hot, drink either water (the best) or a sports type drink (Gatorade, Powerade). Fluids like tea, pop, etc. do not hydrate.

rain Rain RAIN!!!
We had a fairly dry February (1.5" of precip). The month started cold but we had a good warming trend over the last week or so. I'm looking forward to finally uncovering the boat and hitting the water. But how does March start? With 1.5"+ of rain. It has been raining all day. The rivers are muddy and I'm sure the lakes are getting that way. I was hoping to get either the canoe or boat out tomorrow and try for some trout, but it looks like we're going to be getting some rather nasty wind once this front passes through. Hopefully I'll be able to get on the water by the first of May. :-/

Bassmaster Magazine
Better than a poke in the eye... 8-) Good tournament coverage (if you're into that thing) and usually a good article or two.

What do you eat?
What do you pack for a day on the lake? I've been known to pack a bunch of sandwiches and never touch them. Or chow down on an MRE during a fit of crazy hunger. To tell you the truth, I just never get all that hungry on the water. Or I'm just too busy to think about eating.

Are you smarter than a 5th grader?
I watched the first show on Tuesday night. Biggest trainwreck I've seen on TV in a long time. The show will do well to stay on the air for 3 weeks. That said, I would say that Fox will run everything they've taped thus far as it is a game show and is pretty cheap programming.

2nd annual BR.com roadtrip!!!
Well, if they're still stopping at my place on Friday night, I'm feeding them soup beans, cornbread, turnip greens and fried chicken. Should make for an interesting drive the next day.

Spinning Reel Question????
Much like RM, I don't know if I've ever seen a spinning reel that didn't offer the option to switch from LH to RH (or vice-versa) retrieve.
