I'm looking for a finnesse and light lure throwing baitcaster
I bought a PIXY 68 SPR for short money on that auction site from a sporting goods store. I love mine. I just found a number of left handed ones out there, some for very reasonable prices. Best of luck.

Using Seafoam
I use Seafoam as a stabilizer in all my power equipment, motorcycle, and trucks. When my Tundra rolled 100K I took a bottle and slowly poured it into the vacuum from the brake booster while a friend kept the revs up. I had better throttle response afterward. The white cloud coming from the exhaust amused my neighbors. I add a can to a full tank of gas after every oil change too. Ran 1/4 can in my bike's oil for 10 minutes before a change. I pulled the valve cover off to to a valve adjustment and @ 37,000 miles it was clean as a whistle in there. Whatever Seafoam is, it works great.

Get yourself a refurbished iPad from Apple. Their refurbished warranty is the same as new purchases. I happily own a refurb'd MacBook Pro & iPad.

Eastern Ma & New England Area Fishing Reports
Took a ride to Ponkapog Pond after breakfast. After launching, my Lowrance settled in, showing a surface temp of 46 degrees. I threw chartreuse then black spinner baits as slowly as I could without success. My chrome & blue Rapala produced four pickerel. Two under a pound and the other two just under two pounds. Go figure. As I paddled back to the launch I tossed the Rapala one more time and came up with my Christmas bass, all 5 ounces of him. Sure can't complain, getting out on the kayak this late in the year in no more than jeans and a t-shirt (and PFD). Merry Christmas to everyone on the forum and perhaps we can fish in groups in 2016.

Anyone Have Any Luck In Southern Nh Yet? (4/6/12)
That about sums up Little Pond, thanks very much. I can't say I'll get out again this year, but if I do, I'll be sure to try a blade bait. If you hit me on the head with a blade bait I'd probably bite it too...

R.i.p Good Music, You Will Be Missed...
Pandora or SiriusXM. If you like Howard Stern, he just signed on for another 5 years. If not, get as much of your own library on your phone as you can.... I still own vinyl, but they're tough to play in my truck...

Anyone Have Any Luck In Southern Nh Yet? (4/6/12)
Thanks for the info. I was under the impression that they didn't go that deep. I'll look closer. Little Pond is reported to be infertile. I saw crayfish there as a kid, but don't know about current times. Massachusetts stocks it with trout. http://www.mass.gov/eea/docs/dfg/dfw/habitat/maps-ponds/dfwlitpo.pdf

Budget Spinning Gear Around The 100$ Price Point
Are you looking for a rod & reel for $100, or just a rod? If it's a setup you're looking for, a Pflueger President is probably your best bet for reel and a spinning rod that might be on clearance. I have a few different size/action BPS Microlite rods, which are about $50. They're light, and sensitive, lacking only a hook holder. As far as a good $100 spinning rod goes, there are so many good ones, you're best bet is to get down to your local store and handle them for yourself. My two favorites are Abu's Veritas and 1* F*****g's Om**. Best of luck.

Eastern Ma & New England Area Fishing Reports
Anybody out there try dropshotting a floating Rapala minnow? I'm giving a go at Little Pond (Plymouth), a small kettle shaped pond with LMB, trout, and salmon. It's maximum depth is 50', with an average of roughly 30'. My kayak's Lowrance shows groups of fish near the bottom in 30+ feet. I assume they're not bass. I've never tried it, and am looking for pointers from anyone who has. Thanks for your replies. I'll post my success, if any, when I get back.

Decent Day For 38 Degree Water
THAT'S IT! Bewteen you and Mainebass1984 I'm getting the heck out of MASSACHUSETTS! I've not caught a bass since 19 November but have done well with Rainbow and my 1st Brown trout, but nothing like your reports.... Of course I don't retire for 15 years, have a daughter to help with a good start in life, and parents/in-laws getting close to 80 YOA (they're all doing great, but need help around their houses, etc...) For the near future I'll just have to get my non-resident licenses and get up there when I can .... Oh yeah, CONGRATULATIONS on such late season success!

Lew's Speed Spool Vs Bps Pro Qualifier
I own both. All were tuned by DVT and with exception to size, feel nearly identical. Taking them apart, they look the same. They're both very smooth and the PQ's cast farther. I'd say you can't lose with either.

What's The Most Challenging Thing You Find About Fishing
C'mon ... What's the most challenging thing about fishing? Talk about a layup - keeping the tackle monkey out of your wallet, your wife/significant other off your back, AND CATCHING BIGGER FISH EVERY TIME YOU GO OUT! Abu Garcia Setups
Welcome to the forums. If Casey's your last name, it's a great one... As far as matching up your rods & reels. Take some time, take them all (and tackle you'll throw most) down to a shoreline you can cast easily from and try each combination. Whichever setups cast a particular bait best and feel good in your hands gives you your answers. You might also want to keep notes on the different combinations. I've been trying different combinations for a couple years now and am still switching things around if I think I can improve my fishing. Best of luck.

Ice Fishing Bait
I'm sure a little fish tank w/filter would work just fine.

Pray For Our Buddy Dwight Hottle
Good to hear positive news. Good luck with the chemo. My parents went through it. It slowed them down a little, but they've been clean 5 years. Prayers continue.
