  1. Can't take mine, he likes to chase your lure. Found this out last year. Took him out, flipped lure, he tried grabbing it, falls in, keys happen to be on boat deck, back paw snags keys, keys flip in water with him, me searching 9ft water for keys after I dragged him back on the boat.
  2. Paca craw and baby paca craws are my go to baits...
  3. You guys able to get mlf or Bass master on Kodi? Are you only about to watch shows as they are live or can you go on anytime to watch them
  4. Are you saying to use different frequency on each sonar?
  5. Batteries are located in the very back of the boat, trolling motor upfront. The sonar screens are synced together and it comes across on both when I use the trolling motor. Monitors are upfront on a ram mount about a foot away from the TM, other is at console. Should mention the TM power wires are ran on opposite side of all the electronics.
  6. I'll get a photo of it. Although I don't think this is the case as I could be sitting still and as soon as the trolling motor is initiated you will see the interruption and as soon as it's off it goes back to normal.
  7. I'm running a lowrance hds 10 gen2 at the console and lowrance hds 5 up front. I typically fish 2 club tournaments a week.
  8. I should mention the transducer is mounted on the back of the boat... Not even to the trolling motor itself.
  9. While running the trolling motor I'm finding that it interferes with the sonar screen. (Random lines, screen gets darker). Trolling motor is is 24v dedicated. Sonar is on it's own dedicated battery. Thoughts on why it is happening and ways to fix? Thanks
  10. Yep, been getting it to. All the same problems. Thanks for working on it Glenn
  11. Dang, need a couple guys in my club to go in on the 1000 pack. $40 for 250 hooks between 4 guys is a steal. Thanks for showing the site
  12. Personally, I think to make someone enjoy Bass fishing they need to enjoy fishing in general. A quick way of that is getting them on fish no matter what it is. Depending on the water, something as simple as bobber fishing for bluegill. Typically it seems if they are catching fish they are having fun. It Sparks the interest. Than I'd start teaching them about bass. If i were teaching someone new, again I want to keep them interested, so catching fish is key. So I'd show them small bait rigs that you can target small, easier to catch bass. Such as a jig head and grub, ned rig, small crank baits, Texas rigged work, or even a live minnow. As the interest gets sparked, further the education and teach them patterns and introduce new techniques. Shakey head, wacky rigged senko, square bill cranks, top water. I can go fish weed beds along shore with a grub or minnow and catch 8 to 12 inch bass all day. That can be fun for anyone.
  13. I feel learning more about how a Bass moves and acts through each season, (winter, spring, summer, fall), would teach one 10x better than which bait to use.
  14. I noticed dull hooks on my strike King baits the other day straight from package. Funny enough they were on sale. I bought the same style of bait at another location recently and they actually had different hooks and were much sharper. Wonder if they are putting out baits with inferior hooks to sell at a cheaper cost.
  15. Stanley fat Max, best tape measure out there.
  16. Raiders are going to be scary this year. If Carr stays healthy that offense is going to dominate. But we all know us cheeseheads will be bringing back the trophy to its rightful place this year. GO PACK GO
  17. Very slow getting around the site here as well
  18. I bought it years back for twenty bucks. I've attempted to read it probably 4 times. I'm really bad about taking time to sit down and read. Currently sits on the coffee table next to my chair and is bookmarked halfway through. It is a good read, some very in depth knowledge. Someday I hope to have a majority of it memorized.
  19. Can you get live NFL games on this Kodi? Is it an app or what?
  20. I'd vote in a ppr league and a open waiver wire.
  21. Welcome! Where are you located? I'm in the mattoon area. Sounds like you guys got yourself a good boat. Lots of good info on here for you to learn.
  22. Agreed there are some great articles on here. I highly suggest you do some searching. To get you started. Color wise:I always try to keep it a natural color. Match the color of forage you are imitating. dark greens, black, browns and lighter variations. Speed wise, generally I find myself fishing then very slow. You will have to p lay around and see what they want. Everyone has their favorites but 90 percent of the time I like to throw lizards, Crawdads, worms, and beaver soft plastics. Good luck
