Been fishing alot since march. First tournament of the year was on Lake Sara. Lakes turning into a fantastic fishery. I think it stems down from them putting a slot limit on the lake. Won one of the hours with a 4.95 lb. Had a 4.5 lb that was 1/4inch shy of slot that i had to throw back. Other than that, i have only placed twice now in my local club tournaments. Fishing was getting better and better here until last week. Now we are getting this silly rain, 7inchs in past week. I went to lake mattoon yesterday after a big down pour. Lake has to be up 4 feet.

That was me wed club tournament. Ansy as could be, right out the gates lost 4 at the boat. Right after another in a matter of 15 minutes. Had to slow down, and the next hour had 3 keepers in the boat. Finished in 2nd place. Was 0.14 from 1st, if I just slowed down would have had it.

My father, and grandfather being barbers. I learned to straight shave by the age 17. A bit of practice and you won't do anything else. I maintain a beard, but I can clean up my neck/cheeks/sides/eyebrows in roughly 2 minutes. Run with grain, use cold water to help from breaking out. Rinse face, apply clubman pinaud. Wallah! I have several different razors, but started using a replaceable blade style so I don't have to maintain the blade. The blades I buy are microscopically thin, and are $8 for 100 pack. A box last me a very long time.

Blood blister under my finger nail. No, the blister wasn't the real pain, it was my own stupidity. I've always heard to use a drill bit to relieve the pressure. So I threw one into the chuck of my 18v drill. Started to go to town, got through nail, only for drill bit to catch, turn sideways, crack nail, and you guessed it I drilled directly into my finger. The blood poured out. Only time in my life I thought I was going to pass out.

I fish a Veritas 2.0. Great rod. Always on my deck. Fenwick hmg, found one on sale for 40 bucks. Extremely surprised how nice this rod is for the price. I fish a few All Star rods from academy, I've found them on sale for 25 bucks. Not to be fooled by the price, they are a very decent rod. Watch the flea market on here, watch eBay, Facebook fishing pages, you can find some great deals.

Good luck on your search. I bought a copy years back on ebay for around 20 bucks. Im terrible about sitting down and reading. I've read the first half of the book prob 4 times now. Each time with intention to read the whole thing. First chapter or two are pretty slow reads but there is tons of good information throughout.

im a cliff bar and water guy. I typically dont eat much on the water. Bag of jerky usually sits in the glove compartment on boat as well.

Glad you like them. Hope they produce some monster fish, whether they are fiction or non-fiction i'm not one to judge. Would like to give a big shout out and thank you to Alan Reed. Put together a heck of a present and is much appreciated! I honestly have never broke into the rage baits, and after buying some for my secret santa i had the itch to get some! So worked out great. I've heard nothing but good about keitech swimbaits, so im extremely excited to try them out. You're the man! P.S. I've had this for a solid week just opted to wait til christmas to open!

Computer gamer, back in the day i was way more into it. Although just picked up again playing Diablo3 on computer. Used to dominate on Diablo 2, counter strike, warcraft 2&3, world of warcraft.

Not my everyday flavor, but ill give it a 5 +1 for the peep show.

Its been a rough year of fantasy for me. Not only in this league.....but my other 4 im in...lol Actually one league im in first place right now. With zeke coming back this week Wish me luck. Once the king, always "Your King". Iabass8 (how the hell do you tag peoples names on here lol) Next year i vote for FAAB, its honestly the most fair and strategic method out there. Even though im still a fan of open waiver haha. My rbs in all my leagues failed miserably. I have more excuses for my bad fortune but ill stop there. I vote we have trophy passed around to the winner every year. As this years favorable loser, id be happy to make it if people are interested. Obviously the winner of every year would have to cover shipping to the new winner as a punishment for losing. I guess maybe i should hold onto it this year, you know, since im going to win next year obviously... -Your King

I just got interested in a different form of metal detecting. People are calling it magnet fishing. Essentially, a heavy duty magnet attached to a rope and tossing it by bridges or busy areas dragging on bottom to see what you find. Watched some YouTube videos on it and seen people pull out big safes with the backs cut out, guns, historic swords, lots of keys. Just rigged up my magnet, anxious to try it.
