  1. Good job this year you guys. Not to make excuses, but did anyone else ESPN app not work sunday? I went to go check several times through the morning and it wouldn't load. Wife and I were at Lambeau field. Checked several times, no go, beers were going down like water, than game started. But to see my boys knock the bears out of the playoffs is always a good day in my book!
  2. I wear a auto inflate, pull cord optional Onyx. Can be had for around $100. Im a bigger guy, an this jacket fits well and is comfortable. Very light, various colors to choose.
  3. I had this happen with a few rods I sold, and one I bought last year same time. Cause was weather, and time of year. Took longer than expected, but all rods reached destination in good shape.
  4. All jokes aside. I hope you guys don't take me serious or think I'm obtuse. Only razzing. Im here for a good time. Your king has spoken.
  5. Bump. You don't have to enjoy Christmas to do this. You just have to enjoy fishing gear.
  6. Im currently installing a 200k grid.
  7. Hi. Set the rules as you guys see please. Won't matter...?
  8. Yeap! Count me in again. Finally a place to get rid of all my ripped plastic baits.
  9. This is your king speaking. I will be handing out autographs later this year during my fan show. Feel free to come, there will be complimentary hotdogs and busch lights.
  10. I'll put 1 dollar bid on CMC. Thanks
  11. @smalljaw67 what's your handle on YouTube. I'd like to watch your tutorials.
  12. Possibly, would depend on the weights and style. I don't plan on pouring my own heads. Powder coating I might end up doing. Do people use toaster ovens? Would allow me to do it in my shop. Also keep the wife off my back for using the house oven. Haha Most definitely, I hate rubber bands fir skirts. I think im planning on learning to tie them with thread.
  13. Good work! Never heard of using wood filler to fill in divots. What color did you select? Every winter when I go through my rods/reels I typically take ooo steel wool over the cork. Than blow off and seal. Very easy and looks like new.
  14. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. But winter is fast approaching. So I figured for a winter project I'd start making my own jigs. Primarily 1/4, 5/16, 3/8 oz ball head and flipping head. I love throwing jigs, in which I also lose a ton. So hoping this will cut my costs down. While also being able to customize my jig. So If anyone has any tips tricks, websites to get material, tools I'll need, or any suggestions. All is much appreciated!
  15. If everything is wired correctly I don't see a reason you should need to disconnect everything. My battery chargers have inline fuses so if they go south that should prevent it. Every device/ accessory is fused. Main power in my boat is on a switch that I turn off. Sonar has its own switch that gets turned off. So technically I already have alot of safety. But most boats should already have most of that. I never remove anything from circuit to charge. However I do feel those heavy duty battery switches would be a great accessory.
  16. Am I winning? Did I break it?
  17. Sneakers? Don't wear them. I have one pair in the closet that are probably 6 years old. Probably spent around $80 on. However my comfortable feet are important to me. So for a quality boot im not afraid to drop $300 on. My redwings I've worn for years usually cost me $250. I've past two years I've converted to wearing keen hiking shoe/boots cost $120-150. They are the most comfortable, light, breathable shoes I've ever worn. Steel toes for work, or regular for hunting or goofing around.
  18. I bought 2 loomis imx's pfd a buddy whom was looking for money. Sure enough I hate the way they feel in my hand. Great handling sticks and very sensitive. Just can't get used to them.
  19. Well that's a last minute change! I hate faab!
  20. Academy sports sells a captain's chair that is very sturdy, and has a flip up drink holder. I think we paid 35 bucks each. We've had them for 4 years now Found it, https://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/magellan-outdoors-xl-directors-chair#?repChildCatid=6486006
  21. Haha, no my 7" is a variable speed. It's what I normally use for cars. I was saying that the little 3" would be handy cause it's smaller and also has the variable speed.
  22. I ain't no painter! Ibew 146, I'm an electrician. King of the tradies! Hahaha The 3 inch buffer is a fantastic idea. In fact I decided to pick one up on my way home earlier. Will probably use it for the whole job as my 7 inch buffer will probably just make things difficult. I like that that pneumatic buffer has variable speeds. Did a quick test area earlier, wet sand with 800, 1000, 1200 than a quick buff. Extremely happy with how its going to look.
  23. The clear is on and is baking in the sun. Overall, everything went pretty well. Was a learning curve for sure. But the last 1/4 of the boat was probably the best. Several things now that I would do different next time. But overall im happy so far. Lots of orange peel in her. So I've got a lot of work to do with 1000, 1500 grit wet sanding and buffing ahead of me. But I think she should turn out well.
  24. Way2 slow, I want to give you a very much appreciated thank you. You've been a big help. That website you directed me to, I did a bunch of reading. That's one of the sites that I was reading of guys having good results with automotive clear. That's on bass boats, big hot rod rigs, deck boats. Not trying to persuade anyone, just what I've read. Thankfully work has been slow for me so it's been allowing me to stay working on her. Yesterday I put in roughly 9 hours of sanding everything to get it ready. I've done 2 entire wipe downs with a rag and water. Just wiped down with a degreaser. And im about to wipe it all down with acetone for a good measure. Clear goes on today.
