  1. You never know what will happen on water. Cant rely on the kayak being stable to save your life. Water temps are cold now and if you struggle and waste your energy reboarding you may seize up and risk drowning.
  2. I bought the small one and will test it in a bucket friday night. Gotta score a limit to earn a spot in next years state qualifier. Hope this will be that little tweak I need.
  3. Any current or flicker should rotate the blade some causing a little flash and vibration
  4. https://www.ownerhooks.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=244?osCsid=br66m7lqe73lu7kj9e25k8jbj2
  5. Anyone ever add a small spinner to a dropshot? Owner makes one and I have a tournament this weekend which ends our year. Was thinking that adding one to my hook with a roboworm may be a way to make my dropshot stand out.
  6. Custom rods take time to build...and money. Pros are hard on rods. Pros also have tight budgets. Its simply not economical or logistical to use custom rods unless sponsored by mhx or mudhole.
  7. Yeah you need to learn to flip over and board your kayak. We all flip them, better to get it out of the way early
  8. Well, your rod is lighter than air...
  9. Brown scored me 3 bass and nearly a 30 inch muskythis morning
  10. Just caught a one pounder... Pic wont upload though
  11. Ive heard of this tip before on b.a.s.s. if im not mistaken. There is something to it but like wrb said some days it matters some days it doesnt
  12. Bill isnt talking about lure depth... He is talking about the angle of water distorting the bass's vision of the angler. Not sure why some of you feel the need to be vitriolic to a legitimate tip.
  13. I find it strange when established pros mix these up. I write it off as a mispoken word. It also just shows these guys are average folk like us.
  14. Just finished my anchor trolley tonight. Cant wait for the weekend. My better spots are deeper and offshore making it difficult to fish
  15. Its really not that deep unless you are sitting overtop the old river.
  16. How do bass tournaments effect the hitch spawn lol. Im pretty sure the bass that eat them dont just feast during tournaments.
  17. I got brown with ninja a close second. Those are very natural colors that depict many creatures that fall into water. But Siemantel swears by morning dawn and Ive seen many fish caught on it.
  18. Im getting a spro rat in mail tomorrow and plan to throw it until we get hard water. Ill be kayaking a pond this weekend and water temps are probably 55 to 60. Ive seen pictures of late season MS slammer and BBZ bass but is this something yall have experience with (looking at you bluebasser). Should I stick to it all day looking for one big bite? I have a tendency to lean on my dropshot at that pond.
  19. Green pumpkin senko and green pumpkin red flake senko look significanfly different. Some crawdads will look green pumpkin. Others will have a red hue to the green pumpkin.
  20. Apples to oranges. Seaguar has less options and their line has stretch. Its typically more manageable and tatsu is top of the line. Sunline has far more diversity. Typically less manageable due to lack of stretch. Shooter is top of the line and has very little stretch. I prefer sunline
  21. Its all good really and both directions have significant no wake zones. Most boaters head north towards dam and around towards other branch of the lake.
  22. "Real winter" means the lakes are frozen.
  23. Was windy yesterday in my lure 11.5 Drifting with it is a great idea...except 1. Bass were relating to specific cover and 2. Wind was blowing from 3 directions. Had to give up and now put in an amazon order to make trolley
  24. My lone crankbait box probably has that much or more in it.
