  1. I agree Fishbear. It has really gotten bad around here. I tried to go fishing last weekend on some ponds I like to fish. The first one was so dry it wasn't more than a foot deep over most of the lake and the second one was so low I would have had to drag my jon boat 20 feet through the mud to get to the water :'(. If we don't get some rain soon I guess I will have to do some trout fishing on the Chatahoochee.
  2. I used Sensation for a while and liked it when it was new, but when it had been on the reel for a while it started to kink pretty bad. I can't afford to change my line every month so I switched to Suffix and have used that ever since. I agree that Vanish is terrible, or at least was when I used it.
  3. If you are going to steal a movie, I guess this is an appropriate one. All joking aside, there is no difference between bootlegging a movie and shoplifting in a store. They are both stealing, that doesn't change just because you can't get caught..
  4. I have the 6'6'' MM Premier crankbait rod and it is a big improvement over the 7' BPS Crankin Stick I was using before that. It is a lot lighter and more sensitive. I just replaced the Premier with a 7' MM Avid because I prefer a 7' crankbait rod. The Premier is a nice rod but like RW said, if you can get an Avid you won't be sorry.
  5. Another vote for the Avid. I have this same rod and really like it.
  6. Dams are very, very expensive because of the public safety issues! I work for a local government and we have a problem with a local dam. It cost over $500,000 just for the engineers to tell us what had to be done. Its going to cost another $1,000,000 to fix it. That is probably why your dam was not fixed in the first place. If you get involved, just know that you are fighting an uphill and very expensive battle.
  7. I've also had luck with white trick worms and my PB (10lb 6oz) came on a white jig with a white twin tail grub trailer.
  8. Too many spinnerbaits to count and a lot of buzbaits. I catch a lot of fish on buzbaits. I almost always have one tied on and fish it some on every trip.
  9. The Premier is a nice rod. I have one and like it. However, the Reign you are looking at is a much better rod.
  10. I have two Presidents and really like them.
  11. I remember these as well. I can recall gas wars when gas was 19.9 cents a gallon. We have gas wars now, they just don't put up much of a fight.
  12. My QBs are Tony Romo & Ben Rothlisberger. My first two RBs are Shaun Alexander & Rudi Johnson.
  13. Spro Bronzeye Frog! I gave them a good look and never got a bite. I went back to Horny toads.
  14. Ratteltrap. Georgia does stock Brown Trout. I have been to the Buford Hatchery many times and have seen Rainbows, Browns and Brooks. I have also been there when the truck was stocking the Chatahoochee and have seen Browns stocked.

It's a travesty that Glavine got 300 wearing a Mets uniform . All kidding aside, Glavine is one of the nice guys in sports. There are not a lot of them left. By the way muddy, it appears that you have been a Mets fan for a long time. You should know by now not to ignore the Braves. Watch out, the Braves are on a roll.
  16. I have had a lot of dates with the other sex, but never dated out of my species. It just seems that they are a different species.
  17. I grew up in Florida and like you I thought Florida rivalries were the most intense. That was before I spent a year in Alabama. I had never seen that kind of real hate of another team before. The Florida Schools' rivalries aren't even close.
  18. My personal best (10lb) was caught on a spinner bait with a twin tail grub trailer.
  19. Thanks for your work Glenn! I am sure glad the forums are working again, I actually had to get some work done while it was down.
  20. I have several St Croix rods and love all of them. My crankbait rod is an Avid 6'6" MM and I like it a lot better than the BPS Crankin Stick it replaced. You can't go wrong with an Avid.
  21. Reading this post last week reminded me how much fun ultralight fishing is, so I decided to dust off my ultra light rod & take it to the pond across the street from my house. I usually don't fish there because the fish are all small. The largest one I have seen is about 2lbs. I had a ball, catching a 2 lb bass on an ultralight is not as much fun as catching a 10 pounder on heavier gear, but it is close.
  22. I couldn't use a nut & bolt because it is right next to the seat, so I used the machine screw with silicone method. I put it in the water today & it didn't leak a drop. Thanks for the sugestions.
  23. I have Avids, Premiers ane triumphs and if you can afford the extra $60 get an Avid, it is well worth it. If you can't afford an Avid a Premier is a good rod at its price point.
  24. The St Croix Triumph for about $60 is as real nice rod. I use a Pfleuger President on mine and I really like it.
