  1. I've got a lot of Siebert's now, but the middle blade seems to come off pretty often on them. Sharp teeth fish seem to like them just as much as bass. I've found the Shimano's to be very tough though.
  2. I'm actually trying out 131 this year as well. I had it on my BFS rods last year and found it to be exceptional. I go a little heavier on my setups w/ 20lb braid and a 12lb invis-x leader.
  3. I've been winding mine onto a pencil with a screwdriver for the last 10 years... You're telling me I'm supposed to get rid of it?
  4. I'll throw another vote for Damiki Vaults. I've been using them for a while now with good luck.
  5. Barefoot until it gets too cold, then thick wool socks. I honestly just can't stand wearing anything with soles while on a boat...I don't know why.
  6. 5lb 6oz on a Jerkbait (Stunna) or this unknown hoss on a Jackall Kiera (my scale broke, and was no longer reading right, I think it was well over 5lbs.
  7. Sound of drag slipping on a hookset.
  8. It's my boat...I can do what I want. I don't want to spend the precious time it takes to unhook a lure from it's keeper and reel it up to casting length to get it out to a busting bass or some other water disturbance. Now with that said, I'm not doing it with giant crankbaits/swimbaits/etc. I'm usually doing it with a wacky worm, frog or something smaller profile. I also don't hang them over the side of the boat.
  9. Mojo's end up around $119 at Tacklewarehouse with the current sale.
  10. Don't rule out Amazon.jp either. Good ones I've bought from though; Asian Fishing Portal Japan Lure Shop Digitaka Plat.co JDM Tackle Heaven Japan Tackle jpangler Ichiban (used and second hand stuff as well) Samurai Tackle 7 Palms
  11. My biggest problem with them is I seem to get bit on it once shortly after casting it first time of the day, then never again. Doesn't really make sense, but I've never caught two fish in one outing with them.
  12. I've always been a quick stab type, but I changed it up when my co-angler bonked a bass on the head during a tournament and lost us a 4lb fish. We were all of a lb off from money as well with 4 fish.
  13. Don't give up on the frog. Try a smaller profile like a kaera.
  14. Search for Musky jerkbaits. There's a lot out there. They are exhausting to fish though.
  15. They are a bunch of fun with the right hook and a good top water bite. The skip like a dream as well. I will second that their durability is just not there at all though. If it's an aggressive top water bite, not just slurping them under I easily go through 1/fish and at their cost it's just not worth it.
  16. I to this day find it incredibly strange how I tend to have a "year of the ....". Some years it's been this...some that. The one thing that always seems to put them in the boat for me though is a wacky stick bait.
  17. Right now I'm using Costa's on the water. I don't think the frames are as comfortable as my Oakleys, but the glass is better and the warranty is way better. The customer support from Oakley in the past has been terrible and I'll probably never buy another pair. I've tried on some Eyesurrender, Baijo's and Smith's but they don't fit my head. Seems like everybody they make fishing glasses for must have a huge head.
  18. When I first started heavily fishing them they were amazing. I dunno if they have been over fished here, or if I've changed something up. I just don't get hits on them anymore.

  20. Friend stopped by after work, and they apparently sold 180 of them in store today. That's nuts.
  21. The Stunna has pretty much taken 1st place as far as jerkbaits go for me. I've caught more fish on a Shad Fillet Stunna this year than any other bait. I think I've caught more on it than all my other baits combined.
  22. It does catch fish, but it sure is boring.
  23. PopMax and Pop X are my favorite (i consider the PopX just a down sized max). I'm really hoping for good things with the Shimano though. It seems to be an attractor but haven't gotten any hits on it yet. Lots of follows and fish staring.
