Had the day off today, so I went out and crushed them. I could have thrown just about anything today. Everything was working. 32 fish from 9am-1pm nothing huge but lots of fun

Ok well how much would I have to spend to get something half way decent....

Broke my spinning rod today on a very small fish. Looking to buy a new one. I really only use the spinning set up for drop shot. Anything over $100 is too much for me. I really don't know much about rods so I'm counting on good responses, which i'm sure I will get. Thanks

I went out yesterday again. No fish, but I did manage to fall in the water and break my phone. Its been a rough start.

For sure! I was hoping to come out sometime last summer, but my summer got real crazy last year with work. Let us all know how you do tomorrow.

I live in palmyra. I'm always up around the city. I'm always up for fishing with new people.

I have been going out alot, but man I seem to only catch about 5-8 at a time and always end up with one over 5lbs. Last year I was catching a ton of fish and would only catch an occasional one over 5. think I caught my pb last Friday but when I went to weigh it the stupid batteries in my scale were dead.

Just got back from a trip to lake norman. Caught a ton of spotted bass. Went out today and caught big numbers. Only 1 over 3#.

I don't know if this is possible for you to do but I stand in my canoe. I have been doing it for a few years and have never fallen. it makes everything easier in my opinion.

Should have saved that for one of your tournaments... with the way you say things have been going that one would have about wrapped it up lol

I'm on vacation on lake Norman this week and was wondering if you guys had any tips on whats working? I'm right by the bridge I think its rt 150

Caught this one the other day. Just shy of my pb which is 6.2. this one was 5.12

I'm at lake Norman on vacation all week. i arrived at 9.30 tonight and couldn't wait to fish so since we have rented a house right on the water I went out and tried a buzzbait off the dock and caught my first ever spotted bass within 5 minutes... def not a big fish but still cool to catch one.

Thank you everyone for all the great tips. It was just line slipping on the spool. I have never used braid before and didn't know any of the stuff about a backing... thank you!

I bought a t3 ballistic from TW 2 months ago. I always have the drag tightened all the way down. Yesterday I took it out and now even with the drag tightened all the way the line comes out even with a little weight on the line.... any ideas on what's wrong or what I should do? Thanks

Went out today and caught a few. Then I punched a mat felt a bite and set the hook. There was a huge weight on the line, so big I thought it was a log, but I felt alot of pulling. I was pretty excited till I got it up and saw that it was a giant freaking snapping turtle. I was pretty disappointed I thought I had a pb on the line lol

Caught a bunch punching mats today. Biggest was 5-2!

Yeah when its windy I don't even go out anymore.... ill end up just ticked off from the canoe flying all over

X2 Also when I punch I'm close to the mat and pitch the bait to punch it through. Normally the strikes will come right away if not ill shake it two or three times then punch another spot.
