What's Your Style?
- Favorite Crank Colors...just Curious...
At risk of greatly oversimplifying, I'd say, bluegill, sexy shad, blue/silver.... but, I can't just leave it at that...I'm not going out without couple of different depths that have orange throat or belly....and a couple of depths that are fairly dark (black, brown, etc.)- What Line Should I Pick?
What are you using now? And....why do you think that the line is your problem?- Could I Get Sponsored?
What a great article! I hadn't seen it before because I've never had any interest in sponsorship, but it should be mandatory reading for anyone before posting a thread about sponsorships.- Mono Vs. Yo Zuri
RW is wise. I second all that he said. You will love it. I don't think the color matters much, either. They all seem to blend in real well in the water and I've never worried about visibility to the fish. I suggest getting whichever you think YOU'LL be able to see best. For me, that's clear or smoke. I have trouble with green for some reason. I've used 10 on baitcasters, and it is fine, but will make you a little nervous around cover. The upside is that I can cast a Rage toad into the next county- Extremely Generous Package From Bassinisaddicting
I echo these sentiments. And I have little concern, gunsndrums about you paying this one forward. I applaud your genuine appreciation and your taking the time to film this and post your thanks here. Means a lot. Nice going, Bassin...and guns.- Something New
If you hit the water and don't have at least three Cut-R's (I tend to travel with closer to 3 dozen), then you are unnecessarily handicapping yourself.- Never Let Your Dog Watch Your Dinner.
LOL...I am, by no means, a dog-whisperer.....however, from that look she's giving you, Baylee is CLEARLY saying: "Why am I the one tied up out here? I didn't leave the steak unattended on the counter, Dipstick."- Best Tackle For Gift?
Not in the least....well, I was a little offended that you gave us good guys the blue font, but that's more because my wife always has Fox News on lately than any real or perceived slight from you- Best Retirement Lake In Tennessee, Kentucky Or Virginia.....
I've never spent a lot of time on lakes that vary as much as those TVA lakes. I'm having trouble picturing how one with waterfront property deals with it. I saw this video of a guy pushing his dock out: While that's sorta neat, there's got to be different (better?) ways to deal with the levels.- Not Heavy Enough Power
BUT....trolling is different and heavier may be better- Best Tackle For Gift?
I dislike gift cards....not to say that I don't give them....I just feel it's lazy. I get the argument that fishing tackle is/can be personal. And I have received my share of stuff that I rolled my eyes at or wish the gifter had gotten something else. But, you know what? Every single gifted lure in my possession has been used and has been used until it caught fish -- AND I still remember who gave me each and every one of them. I have no clue who all has ever given me a gift card, much less what I bought with them. You fish with him and obviously know a little about him -- buy him something that he might not get for himself....or if that doesn't work for you, how about a filet knife or scale or leatherman-type tool or something? Maybe hand-tie a few jigs....very easy to do, but personal and would be special - no question.- Crankbait Running Depth Question
Call me naive or lazy or intuitive or stupid...whatever....but 5 minutes after I take a crank out of the package I usually have no idea what the manufacturer's 'listed depth' is unless it is stamped on the bill. I grab one from the tackle box based on what I think it will do and what I think I want it to do. If it doesn't, I adjust.- How Many Rods Do You Carry When On The Bank?
Depends. There's some stretches where I can cover a lot of bank without traipsing through the woods and I still try to take four or five. But, if there's any hiking, trees, or brush involved, I try to limit to two...sometimes three- How Soon Do You Go Fishing Once The Ice Starts Melting?
One hour....wait... that was swimming after eating.....I meant 10 minutes- Swim Jigs
1. Watch: 2. Go to Siebertoutdoors.com 3. Fish them. Nearly anywhere and anytime -- they can/will work anytime a moving bait is working...or when a jig is working...... Swim jigs opened a whole new world to me when the realization hit me that this one bait, maybe more than nearly any other allows me to target the entire water column (below the surface action.)- The Most Expensive Lure You Lost
http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/120688-most-expensive-lure-youve-lost/ http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/145088-whats-the-most-lure-youve-lost-on-a-bass- Potomac River
Looking forward to this topic taking off. I have a LOT of interest in fishing tidal Potomac, as well. I have bookmarked NationalBass.com and read the reports. They also had some very detailed guides for some areas, but I don't see them now....I may have overlooked them, or they may have been moved. Anyway, my Potomac experience has been limited to shore in the past, but now I plan to get my new kayak out there and tear them up.- Rapala Knot Ok With Flouro?
I have used Rapala knot with success with braid. However, I've had it slip with flouro and with copoly. So, I've since put split rings on all my dog walkers. I don't think the action is as good, but the confidence is better.- What A Deal!
I 'spect that spellchecker caused the organ....but nobody saw fit to jump on the young man for neglecting to put the apostrophe in ain't...BR Common Corps to the rescue- Knot Question
- Show Your Hardbaits .. Lots Or Rare Or Getbit
A few from my grandfather that I've got on display....there's a few more around here somewhere...guess I need to get a bigger cabinet.- Hybrid Line Vs Floro
As I've said on this and many other threads,I'm a YoZuri fan. However I have to admit that I have some nagging doubts when I read monthly Bassmaster and every single pro is always claiming that they're spooled with flouro- What Exactly Is P-Line Cx
I'm with the bosn. I find Cx to be too thin, too stretchy and too brittle. I tried 8 and 10 and couldn't trust a knot in either - tight bends kinked it and allows for stressed breaking points.- Carolina Rigging
