Wife is out tonight giving away cucumbers already. Lots of tomatoes very soon. Lost all but one cabbage to worm/slug things. Thought we'd been pretty careful about checking it daily, but they've been bad. Storm a week ago had all the corn bent over to the ground; it has been staked and looks great now. Snap peas usually get eaten before we make it back to the house. Carrots and potatoes look good - should have some of each in next week or two.

You have many options and your idea might work as well as any others. I suspect most here won't have a swivel and will use some sort of weighted head/hook....like a ball head or other small 'jig'. You can use belly-weighted hooks and you can Texas rig with a sliding weight. I haven't tried a swimbait with splitshot, but I bet it would work well. Make sure your hook has enough gap to get good hooksets.

Many years ago I was doing incline sit-ups on a ship while at sea. Had done it for years, but something in my balance system snapped that day. I had terrible vertigo for about seven months. (Most of that period was at sea - you can imagine how that multiplies the challenges of even just walking.) Severity started easing after about four months. However, ever since, I do struggle with dizziness every time I rise quickly from laying down, especially if on the floor. Working up under stuff, like cars, sinks, etc is guaranteed recipe for a dizzy spell.

Compass isn't much more than 10. The weight is what sold me. Most folks stand in them just fine. Ask @J Francho I stood a few times, but I'm old and clumsy. I've been extremely happy with mine. I'd give it a hard look.

Yes. Extremely stable. My wife fishes standing in hers. I don't stand and fish in my Compass...in my 'defense', she's younger, in better shape and more graceful....lol. But yes...look at the dimensions. 10 feet long and 3 feet wide, but only 62 pounds once you remove the drive and seat. I should mention that the seat on hers is a bit of a pain, so we leave it in most of the time. (The seat screws and rails don't line up as well as I'd like) *My Compass gets dragged. A LOT. Carts are a PITA and not for the impatient. I have a nice cart, but I choose not to use it for any but the longest drags. My hull is mostly fine after years of dragging on gravel, concrete, beaches, etc. I put a nose guard on, and I buy new aft keel guards as necessary. The BerleyPro 'ducer cover is super hard plastic and also acts as a keel guard.

I very rarely t-rig a craw. But....In addition to a jig (or jigs), I do usually have a T-rigged Rage Bug tied on also. It ain't exactly a craw....but it ain't exactly not one, either. So, put me down for both. I guess I went from, 'only one', to 'both' pretty quickly....lol

That's the only reason that frustrates me. Anything under 40# with spinnerbaits is a recipe for that.....for me.

Always weigh in.....AND don't just toss those first couple 12 inchers. I know I did it my first season....didn't bother to photo those early-in-the-day, barely-legal fish, and then fail to limit. Too confident and impatient....lesson learned

After hearing stories of guys paying 150 for striper trips that fished for 40 minutes, I said 'no thanks'. It has been decades since I was last on charter, but on those trips, if you limit out, they go fish for something else to finish your half or full day. If I just want Rockfish, I'll go to Safeway. I want to fish.

Invisx and Sniper are both very good. I do think you will get slightly better sensitivity and handling. But don't expect massive upgrade. I still use YZH, as well as Seaguar and Sniper fluoro, and for similar diameter (and using KVD L&L) I am hard pressed to tell much difference.

I got a Malone WideTrack after I lost my Hobie cart. Expensive, but not Hobie-expensive. (My only complaint is that it's pretty big. Takes up half the back seat in my SUV.) Last couple years, there's a lot of really good looking options to come on the market. Suspenz and Seattle Bike, or something, are two that I think would be very good. OP, there's plenty of diy videos out there. Most are beyond anything I was willing to take on, but some look quite good.

I am not fully behind current US tipping culture, but I won't refuse to acknowledge it at the expense of hard working entry level service industry employees. The current CAPITALIST market pricing incorporates current tipping cultures and norms. So, for me, I will tip for service performed at basic, expected level. You stiff the waitress at IHOP, you're not sticking it to the greedy owner, I'm afraid. Similar for small independent owner, operators. Right or wrong, if market pricing has tipping as a component, I will tip for basic service. And I will tip exceptionally for exceptional service.

I have no clue what a cape chisel is, but if you had room for it in the truck, but left it at the shop because there was only a 3% chance you'd need it at the job site....then just maybe you're going to do a lesser job with that cape-less chisel you brought...not to mention the fact that just the act of not bringing it raised those odds to about 70%
