I listen to a little blues and R&B from the 50s, but not much really grabs me. If I had to pick a single decade to only listen to music from, it would probably be the 70s. If allowed to fine tune it, probably 1967 through 1976. If I never again listened to anything released outside that period, I'd probably be ok.

I take the chance because I use a variety of SKRT baits, and I can carry a much bigger selection (variety) in my kayak in ziplocs than I could if I tried to keep them all in their original packaging. Toads are a great example. I carry a couple toads using about a tenth of the space I would if felt I had to always keep them in the clam shells. Same with Rage Swimmers, Bugs, and Rage craws.

I fished from a paddling kayak for a few years, primarily because I lived in a townhouse and didn't want to pay to store a boat at a remote (no electric hookups) place. It was great, but certainly a struggle. Wind and current could make for a lousy day. Four years ago, I bought a pedal kayak and the fishing experience is night and day. No question that I fish much more than if I only had a boat.

I've stopped throwing lipless when I see those telltale gliding 'humps'. Some days I can't keep them off...and they aren't much fun to have in a kayak with me.

^+1 I got lots of swimbaits with crooked tails and non-SKRT worms and creatures of bled colors and whacked, creased shapes. But the Rage Stuff can be balled up in a pocket for weeks, or mashed between trays and crates and still fish like a champ.

My target was age 65. I lowered it to 62 1/2 a few years ago. Around 29 months from now....though a really bad recession could still take it out another year or two. But I admit that going to work is more of a chore each passing day

Good enough for me. But I was already on the 'color don't matter (much) train'. Largely because of another study with pretty good methodology that showed that bass can can only distinguish a few basic colors. (I'll link it if I find it again)

I do not change any out of the box. I do sharpen many before using. I have changed hooks on lures that became bent and even that exercise is painful for me. I cannot manipulate split rings worth a crap. And i have screwed up the action by having too big or too small a replacement hook. I don't think I have ever lost a bass because I bent a hook out. So, I will replace hooks that get bent or won't stay sharp, but I refuse to change out hooks on a new bait. (I just remembered one exception....a family member gifted me some no-name jointed swimbaits. May have come from Dollar General, but I liked the action and paint. However, the hooks looked to be about 40 guage and bent when I looked at them. I did change them out and used the lures.) Edit....just remembered a bass lost to a bent hook, but it was on a homemade Ned head....not a brand name crank

Practice. I pitch seated just fine. I don't flip. In fact, had an interesting experience a few weeks ago. I was casting from a distance into a beaver mess with light weight and working it out fine, but not getting any takers. I got snagged and moved in up to the brush to get free. Before I backed way off, I pitched in close and got a couple decent fish. I can only figure that it was the more vertical drop that did the trick....despite the fact that I had moved in almost on top of them.

About that much...few more rods and a measuring board, but no cooler. I use a gorilla wagon between house and the lake. I use the lawn mower to pull the wagon (and the kayak) going up.

I always have a few along. About the only scenario they come out is when I'm trying to beat back a skunk. I did cash a check in a tournament a couple years ago when it was late in the day, I was at my wits end, two fish shy of a limit....broke out four inch senkos and actually had to dead stick them to limit. Painful fishing, but worth it at the time.

Sounds like a good combo.....Miller/Mandel....not sexsplatter. I tend to like and hate both at various times....combo might work. I've got a soft spot for Mandel - he voiced a goofy bear in one of the earliest kids video games when my boys were small....like 30 years ago.....was a fun game.

I do not. But I see a guy often at a local ramp who has a Pond Prowler with a small outboard that he transports inside his SUV.....or half inside, I guess. I have a Hullivator. But Compass is near top end weight for it. I love having a full size SUV. My wife wanted me to get a pickup, but I have my yak on top and gear in the Durango almost year round. I'm not ready to give that up. I'll get a trailer before I get a pickup.

I have heard pros say they turn off the ping when in shallow flats and bays. There is so much we don't know about what sounds bass react to...positively and negatively. My limited observations relate specifically to a couple of examples. I have trolled in clear water at constant speed and had bass swim parallel for hundred yards, even with slight changes in direction. However, when I changed the speed, even slightly, they'd peel off immediately. When I'm in a kayak in shallow pad fields, I am far more successful just plowing into a spot and then sitting quietly for a few minutes before making a cast or pitch, than if I just try to move along continuously, fishing as I go. So, I don't know....I typically leave the sonar on, but if I'm doing the shallow flats or pads thing, I'll sometimes pause the ping.

Can you rent boats? I'm with @Tennessee Boy. I wouldn't think they had anything to do with spots in the lake. But I would probably worry that some puzzle solver will figure it out....if not see you doing it. Before I fished with GPS fishfinders, I took pictures of shoreline in from brush piles. And tried marking them on my phone map, though that was never particularly useful.
