Reviews On New Duckett Ghost Rods I Found
Duckett doesn't list any specs for his rods. After reading that review I wonder how the reviewer came up with those specs.

Lews Bb1 Pro Or Regular Bb1
I have both. Both are the same size and pretty much identical. The bb1 pro's spool and side plate fits onto the bb1's frame and locks in nicely; vice versa but it takes a little more muscle to get the bb1's side plate on to the bb1 pro. Casting is effortless. I like how the bb1 pro has external brake adjustments and more brake increments. With the bb1 pro I can set heavier lures to drop at a good speed and the brakes set at 2, 2.5, or 3 w/o worrying about backlashes. Overall I'm satisfied with both.

Line And Baitcaster Spools
You can but no need to. Fishing for bass, I haven't seen the drilled holes on the spool.

Looking At A New Rod, Opinions Needed.
7'3" will give you a bit more casting distance. I do recommend you taking your reel and put it on the rod. See how it comfortable it is and etc. Then make your decision.

Which Lube For You?
Daiwa space age reel grease for gears and shafts. Wheel bearing lube (thin lube), obviously for bearings. (Forgot what brand but I picked it up from a hobby store.)

Building A Rod Rack
thanks and thanks for posting this thread. Mr. Francho, why? Is it better for the rods? A couple of hours after I put the rods up I started thinking what if the rods got stolen. I'd be devastated if that happened. Then I remembered a neighbor telling me that someone broke into their garage and stole their belongings. Can't keep anything safe now days. With that said sometime in the future I will be building a vertical stand so I can keep my rods indoors.

Lews Tournament Baitcaster
I Recommend taking Your reel to the store and put the reel on a few rods then make your decision. Make sure it's comfortable and etc. IMO 1 of the most important decisions when buying a rod. That way you can find one that works for you. Brands i can recommend: st croix fenwick shimano daiwa ***

Abu Garcia Veritas Vs. St. Croix Mojo Bass Vs. St. Croix Premier
Whichever you get I'd recommend you holding all of them with the reel you'll be using and see how comfortable it is or not. I forgot which mojo model I held at dicks a couple of days ago and it felt noticeably tip heavy without the reel. (Compared to the st croix triumph) Then held a g loomis GL2 and it was also tip heavy. I didn't like that.

Do you mind going into detail on how they are Better?

Shimano Curado Vs. Lews Speed Spool Vs. Bps Pro Qualifier
Any of those will be fine. So you can't go wrong at all. I will suggest that you go to the store and hold the reel on the rod you'll be using. Check to see how it feels, if it's comfortable and etc.

Building A Rod Rack
After seeing this thread I decided to build one. Cost out of my pocket $2.68 for the screws. Items used: 2x4, 10 ft long cut into 3 ft. 6 double hooks screwed onto 2x4. Holds up to 12 rods. Hanging in the garage.

Jerkbait Help/ Advice
Thanks for the response anglers! Will try your suggestions and see what works. MIGHT have to stop by the store and check some out.

What Do I Still Need?
If you fish jigs and frogs then a heavy 7'x" is your next rod. The reel will be what you want, which is the ci4. Or A 7'x" moderate action for deep cranking What will you use your next purchase for?

Cant Decide Between Two Reels...
I'd go for the bb1 pro. Solid reel. If ron still sells them for 150 it's a steal.

Interesting Product
Being into RCs I've read about this product on a rc (radio controlled) forum. If i can remember correctly I read that people use this on rc electronics and they said it works. I haven't tried it myself but may be 1 day.

Jerkbait Help/ Advice
Would appreciate your input. Got into hard jerkbaits last year so I'm still fairly new to this. Q: How do you hold a baitcast rod with a trigger while working it? I'm using a st croix triumph MH fast action 6'6" baitcast rod and after a few downward movement of the rod, I start noticing pain in my pinky and ring finger (trigger is between these 2 fingers). So I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong.

Need Help On Rod For 99 Bucks
Another to mention is the *** *** black. If I remember correctly a Medium Fast 6"6-7'2 rod is versatile. It would be better to get another rod for deep cranking.

Help Me With My Set-Ups
Sounds like the bait monkey is on your back. Do what needs to be done. If you like rod for reaction baits I say get a reel first. Put the new reel on combo 1 and go from there. If the bait monkey is still on your back do whatever it takes to get him off. Haha just kidding.

Jerkbait Rod For 100$
For the owners of the elite tech smallmouth rods, have you fished for stripers aka stripped bass with this rod using jerkbaits? If so does this rod have the power to fight big fishes like the stripers? I'm asking cause if I get one I will be using jerkbaits for stripers too.

Help Me With My Set-Ups
I'd leave alone.

Lew's Bb1Hz Reel?
It's an awesome reel and best bang for the buck. It can cast light lures like senkos flukes up to heavy lures. The reel shines when casting heavy lures (casting distance). Super smooth. A reel that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Rod&reel Dunked In Water
For peace of mind I would break down the reel, clean and re lube the reel to prevent rust. The rod is fine.

Broken Rod, Help!
The word is that contact abu Garcia and they might replace the rod for you.
-
Broken Insert. What To Do?
Thanks for the advices anglers. It's a shimano scimitar spinning rod (use for small fish). Will get an estimate and if it's 10 bucks or more I might just get another rod.
