I think it helps the fishing, at least in clear water. definitely cuts down on light penetration. i love fishing in the fog. i fished in it yesterday and only got one bite, and I missed it, but she was HUGE. Topwater bites in the fog are sweet!

There are so many posts (let's not even include the IM shorthand) that scream out "not learning or being taught to write correctly." Maybe Long Mike was a little harsh but, he's only trying to help. I have a feeling you will change how you see this type of thing as you get older. When you get to be 93 (like Mike ;sorry Mike) you may feel even stronger. I think that sometimes people need to be told they are not doing something (whatever it may be) well. How else will they know that they need to improve? (Everyone has room for improvement) And, it is never acceptable for anyone to not always try, to do anything they are doing, better. Always try to better yourself no matter what you are doing! As I said before, this forum is a perfect place to practice writing skills. edbassmaster....I saw your post. Agreed!!! You know dave, its not even that i neccesarily disagree with what mike posted. Its just that the method in which the message was delivered really rubs me the wrong way, as I imagine it does many people. I think that like anything, shorthand "chat" speak is best used in moderation. The three or four most common ones I think everyone knows and aren't really a problem. For example, lol, jmho, 2cents, etc. I also used to loathe the smilies, but you know, sometimes you need them to convey tone or intent. I honestly can't believe there aren't more people pi$$ed off about that little tirade in which he directly insulted and belittled a very specific group of people, citing their age as the criteria for his broad generalization. Mostly I just do not like being told what to do by anyone that doesn't share my DNA or sign my paycheck. I honestly don't have a thing against mike, as a matter of fact some of his DOM jokes crack me up.

The only thing that is tougher is carhartt. but they really don't last me that much longer. Work is pretty hard on my clothes, and I don't wear them after they get too messed up with holes or paint/caulk/concrete/glue/whatever. And at 20 bucks a pair, its all good.

who else has to shop at these places, or get clothes in those sizes? man what a PITA! I got lucky with my new rain gear from cabelas last month that they had the tall sizes in the bargain cave. But i have gained almost 30pounds in the last 6 months and now pants are real hard to find! I wear dickies for fishing and work and go through like 20 or 25 pairs a year. I ordered some a month ago and they finally showed up >. Its dang hard to find 38 X 40's at he mall, I know that much! At least I still wear regular size t-shirts and have enough tall-long dress shirts to hold me over for awhile. Not really sure what my point is , but who else has to deal with this crap?

Are you talking a handheld unit, or an integrated finder unit? If you are talking about a handheld unit, I would definitely reccomend AGAINST the yellow eTrex unit. I have one and I wish I had never bought it.
