  1. Seven. Minute. Aaaabs. I have a variation of that I fondly refer to as my "seven donut abs".
  2. Hmmm...Henry County reservoirs only give permits to residents. Clayton County are closed til March. Try these: Horton in Fayetteville Kedron in Peachtree City Varner in Covington Black Shoals in Conyers All are electric-only reservoirs that are well-suited for kayaks
  3. If you want to stick with Dobyns, the Champion 735 deserves a look
  4. Well you're not exactly there at the best time of year... My advice is to go to Half Hitch tackle, tell them what you want to do and they'll give you some good pointers. There are a few Half Hitch locations in PCB, including both City and County piers. I recommend you go to the full store on Thomas Drive. Some of the places they're likely to suggest are County Pier, City Pier, and St. Andrews State Park. https://www.halfhitch.com/stores/half-hitch-tackle-panama-city/monthly-forecasts
  5. He's good, but the Pats would finish no better than 3rd in the SEC. Ha! Sorry, I just couldn't resist
  6. Please ask the Kings if they'd like to trade their Stanley Cup for a President's cup and let me know what they say
  7. Hey Sam - a few questions for you. Is it at all the slightest bit possible that Bama simply wasn't as good as people thought? Is it possible your whole strength of schedule argument was artificially created by A&M's early season victory over South Carolina? Just checking...
  8. Congrats on getting the SEC's signature win in the NYE/New years Day bowls
  9. Oh for the love of all things holy...
  10. Not sure I understand that logic. If OSU crushes Alabama, does that mean TCU should have gotten in, and Bama should have gotten left out?
  11. I thoroughly enjoyed yesterday's late game.
  12. I was gonna ask you where you were from to see if saltwater double duty was an option Since you mention that it is, I'd say to spool it with 20lb braid. You can (and should, in my opinion) add a leader based on water you're fishing and species/size/toothiness being targetted.
  13. Anyone have a Medium power Kistler KLX spinning rod? Just curious, as I'd like to ask you a few questions.
  14. Why not pick up the ML redbone from a local store and bring it home to see how well it loads with your 1/8 oz jigs? Worst case scenario is you drive back to the store for a return.
  15. Fork is good for fishing, but not much else. When I was out there a few years back, I don't recall seeing much of anything to do out there besides fish.
  16. Why bother? It'll just happen again. I love my Revos but they do end up with minor cosmetic blemishes easier than other brands. Doesn't Impact performance though.
  17. Excellent -- I'll spool my Tiagra 130 with 10lb braid and "long line" it. That should get it bumping the bottom in 26k feet. Hehe...
  18. Can you tell me which reel in the ~$200 range casts the furthest?
  19. Upon seeing this new, Strike King immediately started development of their 8000 XD series of crankbaits.
  20. Mtn Dew and bourbon? Booo!
  21. This is true but in my opinion fluoro leaves a significantly smaller margin for error. Braid will keep for a few years without much care. Fluoro will also keep, but a few kinks from knots or backlashes will compromise the line, whereas the same would not compromise braid.
  22. A few comments... First off, I agree with a few above that co-poly is not a great alternative to fluoro. Some may disagree, but I consider mono and co-poly virtually interchangeable. Braid and fluoro offer each offer different qualities. Secondly, it's easy to get sticker shock for some of the more expensive braided and fluro lines. But as an example, braid can last many years. But also, try using cheap line as a backing as a means to reduce cost over the longer term. For me, a 200 yard spool of fluoro is a three-use spool, as ~65 yards of "good" line is more than enough to bass fish with. The other ~90 yards needed to fill the spool to capacity can be cheap line.
  23. Next time this buddy of yours drives down from Atlanta, I'm stowing away in his trunk! Great fish!
  24. Try viewing the fishing reports from some of the many guides on Lanier. They're not going to give away magic spots but it can give you better ideas of what to throw and the general structure to look for.
  25. I have a sudden hankering for some cheesy nachos and a weak margarita.
