Dobyns 736 Glass is the rod I throw bladed jigs on, and was my first glass rod. There was a short adjustment period getting used to the glass, but I really like it now.

Kinda feels to me that you’ll get a good hook as long as you’re sticking to one of the known brands - owner, mustard, gammy, vmc, bkk…

This. I grew up in NJ so getting 6 fresh ears for a dollar was never more than 10 min away. Over the last few years, fresh corn has been d**n near impossible to get here around ATL. I’m forced to buy the 4 already shucked ears on the styrofoam tray. Boo!

Sorry to hear this. Seems like there’s been quite a bit of not-so-good news posted lately. Good thoughts are being sent to all going through it.

Spoons, hard and soft jerkbaits, soft swim baits, topwaters, paddle tails, grubs… I’d suggest you try to find some tidal creeks or inshore waterways to fish

Anybody throw things like Sebile/Berkley magic swimmers on it?

Recently picked up a new Dobyns 736CB and Tatula SV 150 combo and took it for its maiden voyage throwing chatterbaits on Guntersville. For those who also have the 736CB, what else do you use it for besides what it says on the rod? This is my first composite rod so still very much in the adjusting phase.
