Why Should I Bother With Tungsten Sinkers?
Sure -- I never thought about brass sinkers until a guide I was fishing with handed me one. I won't say they're as good as tungsten at transmitting the bottom or a bite, but I found they provided a better feel than lead. But of course they're more expensive than lead.

Why Should I Bother With Tungsten Sinkers?
I was originally skeptical as well but I bought some and I do feel an increase in sensitivity. If you don't want to go all the way to tungsten, try brass. A bit more than lead, but also a better option than lead ( at least to me)

Essential Must Have Plastics
Your wallet may regret this post Flukes in white, shad Straight tail worms (Zoom Trick and Finesse), curly tail worms, lizards, brush hogs, craws, senkos, paddle tail worms (like Zoom Ultra Vibe), French fries (like Hag's Tornado) in a few different colors. Generally watermelonseed, green pumpkin and junebug are my staples. Size is also a factor, where you may want a few different sizes for a few of those baits. Worms and lizards are ones I always carry at least 2 sizes of.

How Much Wind Do You Consider To Be Windy?
So in winter and early spring, you target the banks the wind is blowing FROM? What's the reasoning behind that? I don't think I'd heard of that approach before so I'm curious.

Advise On What To Use These Setups For?
Mostly I agree with the above. One comment on the Dobyns, though. I think the 4 powers fish lighter than I expect a H to fish. With that said, it is a versatile rod but I'm not sure I'd go above 1/2 oz on jigs on that rod.

New Chronarch To Be In Stock By Middle Of This Month
One of the reasons I'm not a terribly big Shimano fan. Not all models available in lefty, and they seem to drag their feet in making lefty models available.

Power Pro Zero Impact
I'm a bit confused myself. Is their idea that once I use up the 36 inches of reinforced section, that I'm supposed to cut off 20 ft of line to get to the next reinforced section before reattaching a lure or hook? No thanks.

What To Throw 10" + Worms On?
I assume you're talking about a Dobyns 734. Based on my experience with my Dobyns rods (including several 4 powers) I don't think you'd have any issue throwing a 10-inch worm, even weightless, on a 4-power rod since to me they fish a bit lighter than a "true" H and since a 10-in worm already has some weight to it. Adding weight via T-rig or C-rig will make it even easier to throw. I personally prefer fluoro for worms, but I see on reason 50 lb braid wouldn't work. Just choose an appropriate leader based on cover and water clarity.

Good Humminbird With Sidescan?
Try to play with both an HB an a Lowrance, and buy the biggest screen in the brand you prefer. I prefer HB. I love my 898 but every time I fish, I wish I got the 998

Rod Recommendations
I don't think you're going to find one combo that excels at finesse AND 3/4 oz spinnerbaits. How much are you willing to spend?

Check This Out! Chronarch Ci4+ News!
Wow, Shimano is actually releasing the same models for both righties and lefties. I figured this would be another instance for them to short-change lefty crankers, so color me surprised. Still not gonna get one though

I'm Gonna Need A Bigger Boat
It's been an eventful few weeks, to say the least. I'm not sure Andrew and Ryan will both fit in my 16 ft jonboat so I may need to convince my wife to let me upgrade (PS - they will fit but don't tell my wife ) In any event, I've tripled the number of kids I have so there's been an "adjustment period"... Hehe...

Red Braid
I just assume line bleeding as a minor inconvenience when using braid. See if you can Google the braid spooling video from the late, great Jose Wejebe. Essentially you put the braid through a wrap of paper towel, then snake the paper towel through your fingers. This allows you to keep the braid nice and tight, AND remove some of the excess die. I usually do this witha paper towel that I add KVD L&L to I don't think I'll ever buy green braid again, either for freshwater or saltwater fishing. The other colors are easier to see, and I can always add a leader or color the last few feet of the braid black witha Sharpie if I'm concerned about line visibility to the fish.

Anyone Have A Kistler Klx?
Has anyone fished any of the Kistler KLX models, specifically he 6'6" ML spinning rod? I just pulled the trigger on one and am wondering the size spinning reel I should pair with it. I'm leaning towards a 1000-size Stradic FJ. For anyone who has fished any KLX model, what were your impressions? I stayed away from Kistler for a few years mostly due to the blank inconsistencies but the weight, price and NFC blanks used for the KLX motivated me to give Kistler another shot.

50# Braid, 12# Leader???
One reason for the braid is the sensitivity

St. Croix Legend Extreme Question
How light are you looking to throw? I've never fished an Extreme but imagine you should be pleased. My only word of caution would be around M vs MH. If you're keeping the baits light, M might be worth checking out
