  1. Not too shabby, Jeff!
  2. Though I can't attend Pickwick this year, I can have a little 2012 Road Trip deja vu! I'm typing this from the Hampton Inn Guntersville overlooking the Big G while I prepare for a day of fishing tomorrow with the Spinnerbait Kid. Hopefully the Big G is a little more cooperative tomorrow than she was for me last April! Looking forward to reading the Pickwick reports from everyone.
  3. How many of those 6 were drum?

  5. Shameless plug... I just found a Daiwa Tierra 2500 in my pile o' tackle last night that's just not getting used. Great reel with both spools and one still had 20lb Sufix braid on it. PM me if you're interested and we can work something out
  6. Hehe, I've Cobia fished the Broad. Interesting to hear there are smallies not that far upstream

  9. You guys ever gonna stop rubbing it in?
  10. After having a great time last year, I was really hoping to attend his year. However with a new project at work that's about killing me and a very pregnant wife at home, it's not gonna work out for me this year. With that said, I'm hoping to get some Guntersville revenge for last year on a guided trip I'm taking of the 29th Tight lines for all those attending Pickwick!
  11. 8lb Invisx on my 2500-sized spinning reels. 12, 15 and 17 lb Trilene 100% Fluoro on multiple baitcasters. Take your time to spool it well, and use L&L conditioner. Would also recommend using cheap mono line as backing so you get 2-3 reel's worth of the fluoro when you spool up. There's certainly some sticker shock with fluoro, even moreso when you're not accustomed to how to manage the line so at least the backing helps reduce some cost.
  12. As a Giants fan....... Ahhhhhh hahahaha!!!!
  13. I hate you guys P.S. - put me on the list for the next trip
  14. I carry a few spare spools for my baitcasters so I have line options I can alter on the water if needed
  15. To me, they seem good at higher retrieve speeds. I have better luck with other rattling baits at slower speeds
  16. As a Georgia Tech alumnus and season ticket holder, I experienced the "Chan Gailey Effect" first hand
  17. Avids are hard to beat Then again, waiting for a Tackle Warehouse 20% off sale opens up some additional options
  18. Looks like you're still giving that Cardiff more of a workout than I ever could
  19. I didn't get a chance to snap a pic, but I received an awesome package from NorcalBassin. It had a set of Siebert's Storm series jigs, a pack of RageTail Craws, "The Snip" line cutter tool and a pack of Senkos in watermelon w/ copper, orange and red. Like I told Chad in a PM -- this is why I really enjoy this exchange. I never would have picked out Senkos in that pattern myself, but now that I've seen them I can't wait to throw them around bluegill beds in the spring. They look like they should be killer at that time of year. It's great to have a platform like this to allow fishermen to share their tips, tricks and even color patterns with others, in the hopes of opening someone else's eyes to something new.
  20. Hey man -- have names been drawn?
  21. Look at the Daiwa Zillion rods. I fish jigs on the 7' MH and I love this thing. I will say that I'm not nearly the jig fisherman as some of the guys on this board, but if their recommended rods are better than the Zillion, then they must be some sweet sticks. You don't hear much about the Zillion rods, and I'm really not sure why, as I think they're awesome for "feel" techniques.
