  1. Went to gandermountain yesterday I settled on a gandermountain gsx tournament series in 7 ft. Mh. Got it for 49.99 originally 99.99. I think pretty alright deal. Super light. Good backbone. Just hope the durability is alright. Gonna be using this for jigs.this is actually my first 7 ft rod. I'm liking it so far. Thanks for everyone's opinion.
  2. 3/8 oz jig. My confidence bait.
  3. That's awesome
  4. If its sparse lilies I like worms or brush hogs even spinnerbaits will work. Heavier cover it's frogs or zoom z hog.
  5. Ever see that skirt tool tube... removable cone on one side. A cheap alternative would be using a Bic pen instead. Saw off or pry off the butt end. And the writing end just pulls out. Take the ink cartridge out. Just make the wire puller out of an old wire hanger. Or another option is to use thin wire to tie them.
  6. MCCOY EXTRA CLEAR!! That line is the only line besides braid that has little memory as it does. If I was a pro this would be one of my sponsers. Haha. I really like this line.
  7. yep just saw them might be an good option for me.
  8. what's a good rod for pitching jigs? at least 7 ft. and med heavy. sensitive. mostly pitching into brush piles and fallen trees. will be using copolymer maybe fluorocarbon. 1/2 oz jigs. maybe an extra fast option.
  9. anybody hear about these rods. seen them on ebay for a good price and was wondering if anybody had any info other than what I have. 7 ft . med. heavy. line:10-30 lb 9+1 guides
  10. Holy crap. what a stringer.
  11. Ur lucky man. Holy crap. That makes me mad
  12. Hello and welcome
  13. Mccoy extra clear? I use that line for every thing. I like it. Not that great abrasion resistance starts feeling rough after a while but never had any breakoffs. I use 6, 8, and 15 lb test.
  14. Hey man. Welcome to the site
  15. Yep. And Just remember...fishing is fishing doesn't matter who your with.
  16. I got skunked today. And the way the weather was. Overcast breezy. Perfect weather for spinnerbaits and squarebills... not. Got nothin. Fishing around wood and from shore. If I had to guess they were suspended out deep. Tried my jigs too. Swimming and flipping.just really surprised cause I was pumped thinking I was gonna knock the heck out of them. Only to be disappointed and confused. Haha.
  17. No. But it helps to reel fast. Real fast if there is cover or no cover. Notice that if bass gets a glimpse of the bait, bass will react to it.
  18. Depends... are you my boss under cover??
  19. Bill dances private lake! For some of them big uns. Largemouth
