I have an in at a eclipse. A pretty good airbrush. The reasoning for getting that one was when I started out everyone said to buy a high quality. The best you can afford. But I wish I would have tried out one of those master airbrushed cause I hear good things from them. Then I would have saved some money.hah
  3. what about a browning silaflex? a 6'6" MH. from bass pro shops any good. have a good backbone? looking for rods with full cork handles under 40 bucks for squarebills.
  4. Thanks. Never tried a Berkley lighting before. They have a soft enough tip??

  6. seem cool but... alil out of my price range
  7. so I saw a shimano sojourn casting rod on ebay. I tried finding info on it but came up empty. I was thinking of using it for squarebills. its 6'6" medium heavy. around 30 bucks. just wanted your guys opinions or info on it. any would be appreciated. thanks.
  8. I would like to see somewhere they haven't been before. Like Susquehanna river.haha. just kidding. But somewhere off their normal radar.
  9. Those bass were so tuned on blue back herring that I doubt the brush piles did alot.
  10. Fluorocarbon is definitely better for wood. You can use braid for brush piles and grass.
  11. Coolbeans man. I hear a lot of guys switch to fluoro if they think the zipping noise of braid against vegetation is spooking fish. Also vegetation with wood.braid digs into wood. Heard fluoro has better sensitivity on the fall.
  12. No definite not. Hooks are sharp you'll be fine. I set the hook with barely a flick of the wrist. Well a little more than that but it's not very hard at all.
  13. Rod carrier box is better quality than mine. Mine was made out of cardboard box. Had to do somthin. I got tired of rods shifting and being in my face while I was driving. At the time I used a semi deep box so I could also put some plano boxes in the bottom of it or a worm binder. Just saying nice setup.
  14. Love these rods too! Wish I would have bought some more when the sale was on
  15. Flipping jigs at wood laydowns and squarebills.

Usually fish them from spring to late fall. When I fish stained water. I fish colorado or indiana blades around laydowns stumps or preferred cover. But most of the time clearer water is what I fish so when the sky is overcast. A perfect clear water spinnerbait day is a breezy overcast day. Willowleaf blades. The wind puts a little chop in the water.
  20. All 6'6" mh fast. 15 lb mccoy extra clear or pline cxxx. 6.4:1 gear ratio. Most of the time you are target casting.casting to laydowns, docks, stumps, or reeds. Shorter rods are usually ideal for this.
  21. Depends what the water is like. If it's muddy probly a jig, spinnerbait with colorados slow, or squarebill. Clear water rattletraps. maybe I'll get into jerkbaits this year. I rarely throw them. I'm surely missing alot of fun.
  22. Whoa whoa whoa!!! Not so fast. I do! And for the most part they work great.
  23. The thing with the lakes like ontelaunee nockamixon or bluemarsh. Is that ya kinda have to hike the shoreline to find the right cover or structure to fish. Yea it's tiring and sucks. But it's worth it and pretty cool when ya figure a lake out when others say it sucks. Haha. Ontelaunee lake is one that you find the right cover you find fish. I think when you see wood in or near the weeds it's good fishing. But it is a littered with "bucket fisherman" that keep anything they catch. The lake is alright just makes you have to think a little.
  24. Yea those snappers will scare ya!!!! I mean I love turtles, but snappers definitely sneak up on ya!! They Hide and you don't see them til last second. Happened a couple times to me. Haha. Still got all my fingers.
  25. I heard good things of mgx extreme and rockets on youtube. but I only own sx's. I like the sx's personally
