  1. Alone fishing? Absolutely! Other than that, eh, I dont like gettin chased by ladles.....
  2. Indeed....In the summer thats the only reason I grill with gas is to keep the electric bill down. 76.3% of the time I use charcoal, only if Im on my weekend. Rooster, whats some good recipes for duck on the grill? Ive got venison, beef and some good pork ones but duck is def new to me.
  3. And there goes the brew spraying everywhere........Always there for a good laugh....Being my point though, its like RNF is the illegitimate child of the most interesting man in the world, what hasnt he done? ....... Except quit smoking, which on a serious note Ill be right behind ya in the next few weeks though Raider, quit once for a long time and stupidly picked it back up again.
  4. Sooooo...Lemme get this right. Raider, your a bucket hat wearing, troll loving, ghetto living, fountain pen collecting, industrial electrician, hillbilly, future POTUS, everything else thread king and to throw in the mix a sometimes fisherman. (Thats all I collected from the FIRST page) Dang I love this site!! If it wasant for your post all day I could actually be working!! Takes all kinds and only here on BR do we have the one and only RNF!
  5. Since I got the grill fired up tonight I was wondering the age old question, Gas or charcoal. Also whats you favorite meal to grill? I got the gasser fired up since I just got off work, have some potatoes cut up n roasting and will soon be throwing on some bacon wrapped steak medallions. I prefer charcoal but Im lazy on my work days!
  6. On some days they will eat everything and anything you throw from the biggest crank down to the smallest inline spinner...Some days not so much. Get some good fishing pliers in the 8-10" range and ya should be good to go, my buddy from up north moved here last summer and decided he could "lip" one that was about 22" ...... Def get some pliers.
  7. Ive found that if ya grab em from behind the head up under the gills their mouths open wide up. Unless I got a treble thats locked their mouth shut I normally dont have an issue if I hold them that way.
  8. Honestly....None. If im fishing and catching fish, then its a good day.... This past Saturday thats all we were catching was pickerel, so in light of that my buddy and I turned it into, whoever catches the biggest pik of the day doesnt have to buy the brew that night. I know they can be annoying sometimes but they put up a great fight. Id rather be hammering them in all day than have a skunk in the boat.
  9. My thermacell normally takes care of em, if its to windy or they still keep coming Ill use deep woods OFF.
  10. http://www.tackletour.com/reviewultimateluresaver.html Found this helpful Bill, they do state in the review to be sure to use correct lb rating for your line ex. 10lb smartlink paired with 10lb line.
  11. Its def cool, the idea and rarity of it..But good god almighty its ugly.
  12. Possibly the most hideous thing Ive ever seen in the animal kingdom..... http://www.foxnews.com/us/2014/05/03/rare-goblin-shark-reportedly-caught-off-key-west/?intcmp=features
  13. Fiskars kids scissors. They are small, compact and cut any line. They have a blunt end so you dont have to worry about poking you or through your tackle bag and what not. Just tuck em away in your back pocket and youll be good to go.
  14. Here is a visual of the drop shot people are recommending bud.
  15. No problem...Any questions just lemme know. I know there are a few other guys with canoe setups ya can look for. Maybe get some more ideas.
  16. #1 Shimano Citica 201E #2 Shimano Bantam Magplus 150XG #3 Daiwa T3 Ballistic The Bantam is about as old as I am, still works great though, along with it being right handed it went to my pops.
  17. They had a bad run of knobs with the coating peeling off, shoot em a call and like a few others said they will have new knobs out in a few days. Lews did state that they redesigned the coating process and it was just a fluke. Any new reels you should be fine.
  18. Here is one of my favs from a few weeks ago fishing one of the rivers that feed the Chesapeake bay...
  19. Raider I pray that your sis in law never finds this thread..... But yet it is friggin hilarious!! Thanks for keeping my night shift going....
  20. Fine Valve grind compound works also, find it at any hardware/auto store...
  21. This without a doubt! When we go out for breakfast I will order 2-3 breakfast meals, exception being pancakes, too filling and not much flavor.
  22. Campbells Chunky cheeseburger soup......Holy nasty.
  23. For non-tidal its $20.50 in Maryland...Catch and release is all year with March through June you cant keep any.
  24. I would think a combo setup in the 40-60$ range should suffice. Also with the season starting up Gander,BPS, Dicks etc. all have really good sales going on. So you could possibly scoop up a $100+ setup for that 40-60$ range.
