  1. If you don't want to fish the north wind in the winter, fish the north shores of your east and west coves; or go to another lake that has coves on the north shore
  2. I enjoy watching them every so often
  3. Great....order incoming ?
  4. I'm braid to fluoro on all my setups for the last 20+ years and don't see a reason to change
  5. I haven't been in this section for a long time, and I'm just seeing this now. So sorry to hear about your wife A-Jay. I hope you both are doing better. I'll be looking for a positive update. Thoughts and prayers to you.

I keep telling my wife we need to take a 2-3 week road trip, just travel around to all the places shown on Food Network, Man vs Food etc... Someday
  7. Really beautiful and all...but then you miss out on looking for the 1 crank you think will work, only to find it entangled in 17 other treble hooks and 9 other baits. That's the best part of my morning
  8. Anyone ever fill an A-Rig with them?
  9. You may be on to something! You watch...that's going to change the action in a positive way; fish won't be able to resist it. Get your patent application ready!
  10. I've always tried to prove this, or at least confirm some sort of truth to it; but I've never been able to see any consistancy in it. The above said, I do subscribe to this theory though. I do like falling/low pressure days. I've really wacked em on stormy/rainy days.
  11. Very cool! Thanks for sharing!
  12. I'm a DM for an auto center company and drive quite a bit as I cover a large area. I pass so many ponds and lakes; I always want to stop but never have. Maybe I need to keep a rod in my truck
  13. Good analogy I'm sure these guys are very skilled at their profession. This is probably one of those things that looks odd to non-pros, like myself
  14. I've thought this exact thing for years. I'll preface and say I'm no pro, so they can do them and I'll do me; that being said, it does drive me nuts when they have $100,000 on the line and they eyeball fish. I have the Rapala touch screen that holds 8 weights, as I've seen some of them use. I swear it takes more time for them to flop them all out, eyeball them, hope they got it right than it would to just weight it and tag it at the time. Again, they're where they are for a reason so maybe it's just me ?‍♂️
  15. Both as well but I like most of mine on spinning due to the increased casting distance. I have a few that are know "good casters" and I'll throw those on a BC.
  16. I'll be out as soon as my trailer doesn't ride on top of the water. I'll only need 2 rods...one with a jerkbait and another with a Dark Sleeper
  17. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=cold+lake+therapy I couldn't do it My heart would stop!
  18. I just added Mega 360 to my boat and now thinking I want FFS too. If money was no object, I'd have it and have the ducer mounted on one of these: https://rmind.com/shop/rite-hite-turret/ I use spot lock a lot in wind and would definitley want it free to look around while facing into the wind.
  19. Static temp is -16 at my house right now. Supposed to be -50+- with the 20mph winds outside Definitely a 3 dog night
  20. 5 Maine state records...incredible
  21. I've gotta get to one of these at some point!! Have fun everyone; be safe
  22. Some slobs for sure!
  23. You hate to hear stories like this; very sad
  24. I've watched this 100 times and still get shivers And like him or not, this always gets me fired!! Honorable mention goes to And yes...we're fully iced over here now
