The Deland area has a bunch of fishing areas. There is the St. Johns river, Lake Woodruff, Lake George, Lake Bearsford, Lake Diaz. And those are just in the Deland area. Travel a little south and you have a bunch more productive fishing areas. Just an FYI, fishing this past winter has been really tough. Seems like the numerous cold fronts has really screwed up the fishing.

Bought a very pricey 38' Fifth wheel back in 2007. Probably couldn't get a third of what I paid for it now.

When I was still working the weekend fishing was a great stress reliever. Now that I am retired I have fished in some of the most beautiful places in our country and now have the time to research and experiment with different techniques. Fishing is now a hobby that I greatly enjoy regardless of how few fish I have been catching this past winter.

Will do. Might be a couple of weeks though by the time I get it. If its any help, the MK site recommends setting it 4" above the hull bottom and I believe the overall length is 59.5"

What type of boat do you have? My Tracker had a power and ground wire up front already from the factory when I installed my 998.

The Dr. put my very active Grandmother in a nursing home after she fell and broke her second hip within a month. I watched a woman that was as sharp as a tack slowly go into a mental state of nearly being catatonic. I had her taken from the nursing home and brought to my home where she had home health care 2x a day. Within a day she was back to her old self. She went on to live another 15+ years living on her own in Queens, NY. Tough old Irish girl! I wonder if just being around all the sick and dying folks in the nursing homes just take away peoples will to live.

I went to the BPS in Orlando. Picked up a Abu Winch and an Abu 6'6 med heavy rod along with a few cranks. $265 later. My "problem" when I go there is that the wife usually comes along and I drop her off at one of the numerous outlet malls and she tells me to take my time. That means it is going to cost me $$ at the outlet mall and BPS. LOL!

I was teaching fire fighting classes and she was one of my students. Best thing that ever happened to me. Been together almost 20 years now.

Hang tight. I have fished here in Fla. all winter and not picked up one darn fish. Sometimes they just are not cooperative.

If you are serious about the truck ask for an oil sample to be done. You can get the kit at NAPA. If there is any problem with the motor the oil test should show it.

I hope you have good luck with the CL. I had two break. One about 6 in down from the tip, another about 2 in from the tip. While returning the second one I had a fellow behind me in line tell me he had the same issue with two he had. When he returned the last one he did as I did and changed brands.

I have owned all three with diesels. All had their plus'. Currently driving a 2005 Chevy 3500 Duramax diesel with the Allison trans. Can't beat the trans. A good place to look for used trucks is on some of the camping forums. Those folks take good care of their trucks and sell them reasonably.

Fished St. Johns River and entrance to Lake George today. Three other friends on their boats. NO FISH! While fishing a guy pulls up and says he is Fish and Game doing a survey. He tells us that no one he has spoken to in the last few days are catching anything. What gives?????????? Not even marking fish on my HB 998. Shiners didn't even work.

I started out with buying a new Bass Tracker 190 Pro Team. Then came lots of additional lures bought off this and another site, 2 new Bass Pro Reels, a Duckett rod and a Abu rod. Purchased a HB 998 with SI. Ram mount, new life jacket, front leaning seat, telescopic seat post, weedless prop for the Minn Kota, etc, etc.

I have never seen a smallmouth in Lake George or anywhere in that area of Fl. Been fishing the area for 20 years. As far as the fishing goes, it has been horribly bad all winter. Even Rodman doesn't seem to be productive. The water has been in the high 50's most of the time. Even the speck fishing has been off. I am hoping to try the St. Johns this coming Monday.
