My lord, Bedding fish are the most ornery females I've encountered in life, well almost.... Not uncatchable, but my goodness, very, very hard. I'm still glutinous to try it on occasion! To each their own, I can respect that, but where I fish it's not illegal or immoral..

A lot of great answers here,...I have, because I can, because I enjoy it, because it's ever changing, I would never impune someone's philosophy on less is more, simplicity is bliss on some fronts, I give very good, even exceptional gear, baits etc..away each year, that also create's joy for me and typically for those Recieving the "stuff" often times I resale a item, at a reduced cost, aka good deal for someone else, then re-invest some into new "stuff" I wouldn't disagree that I have more than I need, but I'm glad I have..

Wow, I never saw a bear when I lived there, but I was aware of them being around. The thing that made me a bit nervous was black panthers... Not even gators, nor rattlesnakes created a fear in me, but the panther, a little. Hats off to Florida for putting people first over this beast of a bear.

I find the round shimano reels, in 200 size quite easy to palm.. I sure do like them.. Plus, they have plenty of strength, a slower ipt, 2oz rigs are easy for it as well.

Yup, a good cleaning, relube, = new & improved performance, as far as bearings, it may be they just need properly clean w drop of oil... Of course it never hurts to install new Abec bearings. DVT.. That's the rod & reel man you wanna talk to. Best wishes...

My exact point was this is a BASS fishing forum. Sure, there's a bit of crossover talk, primarily freshwater species, some like to dabble mostly on salt, I like fishing, for a lot of different fish, however it's about the sport of Bass fishing on this forum, if I wanna talk about the merits of saltwater fish, I would go to a saltwater forum.

In the water sound is very loud, also objects are magnified by about 25%... As least from the human perspective. I use to dive with this gal in Puerto Rico, she had big eyes, underwater her eyes were huge! Wonder if bass see objects in a magnified state, or as presented? Or, smaller.. Hmm..

Yup, Salt guys seem to bash bass fishing tactics and gear on here a fair amount.. It's not the battle of the LMB or SMB , but rather the skill behind locating, presenting, then catching the Bass fishes... I fished salt ten years, it's much more simple than Bass fishing, in my experience.
