Spinning Reels Vs. Shimano Stradic Fj 2500
I went through this same decision process a month ago and decided on the Lexa. Haven't fished it yet but it feels great. Walmart has them online for $93.

Browning Superlight Rods
I think these are pretty new, anyone try one out yet? Their name is definitely accurate, they are super light. But anyone have a chance to see how they perform?

Spinning Reels Vs. Shimano Stradic Fj 2500
No doubt if you have had that many reels and that many problems, you have the right to complain. I was just pointing out what I have observed on the forums. My experience hasn't been steller, and I probably will try other things before I get another Shimano, but most people seem to love them.

Using A Wrong Handed Reel For Pitching
I don't get this. Do you reel with your right hand still on the rod trigger or do you cast while palming the side plate? I tried left retrieve reels when I was first starting with a BC, and I found maneuvering my right hand from the trigger to the side plate more awkward than switching hands, and cranking with my left awkward as well.

Spinning Reels Vs. Shimano Stradic Fj 2500
You won't find one without any negative reviews. Just probability, with how many are sold, someone is bound to have problems, and people with problems tend to be much more vocal than content customers. To be honest, Snook and 0119 are the first people I've seen complain about Shimano longevity. Longevity and part availability are usually the two things people really love about Shimano reels. I will say both Shimano reels I've bought had to be exchanged initially for issues, but the second Symetre I got I love. Haven't fished the other one yet.

Lews Tourney Mg Vs. Super Duty Speed Spool
I see the reference to brass gearing mentioned a lot and I don't understand how that makes the superduty stronger? A lot of reels have brass gearing, even the regular speed spool. Is it a higher strength brass? It seems the real strength benefit of the super duty is the aluminum handle side plate instead of graphite.

Shimano Chronarch Ci 4+ - Reviews???
Ci4+ is the material they use, not reel model specific. So there is a Stradic and a Chronarch made of Ci4+

Topwater Not Working?
I've found light is the key to the topwater bite. I seem to only get top water bites in low light situations. Dawn/Dusk or cloudy days. I've even had days with scattered clouds where with the Sun out, the bite would die. Then, as soon as a cloud would pass in front of it, I'd start getting hits again while it was blocked out. I can really only remember a few times where topwater was on and the sun was out.

Check Your Local Walmart For Fishing Sales!
Nothing good at mine, most were $10-$15 off. Buccos were only marked down to $99. Now I'm a little mad I had to go into a wal-mart, I saw things that can't be unseen...

Will We See A New 50 Size Shimano?
I'm just talking about what is readily available to me. I can't really run to the store and pick up Japanese market reels. And I'd bet the vast majority of US buyers arent looking at Japanese reels. So yes, I am talking about US market reels.

Curado G Baitcast Reel Vs Tatula
I'm no expert, but it seems to me that a rod that requires a heavier reel to balance properly is a poorly balanced rod. I like my rods balanced an inch or two in front of the reel seat. The closer the rod is to balancing at that point before a reel is put on, the less impact a reel is going to have on the balance of itIt seems the better the rod balances before a reel, the better it balances with a reel, even with my heavy PQs.

Will We See A New 50 Size Shimano?
They'd have to have terrible supply chain issues or have severely underestimated demand for that to happen. Either way, they'd only be losing sales as I'm sure a lot of guys will just buy something else if they aren't available. We'll see what happens.

Will We See A New 50 Size Shimano?
I doubt it will take that long. They did a good job building up hype, but it will die down soon enough and supply will catch up. It like people sleeping outside of Apple stores to get the iPhone on release day. Wait a couple weeks and you can just stop by and pick one up.

Will We See A New 50 Size Shimano?
I'm only seeing 50s available for the chronarch and core, and even then each one only comes in one gear ratio. Would be cool if there were more, but that probably dramatically increases their costs.

Will We See A New 50 Size Shimano?
Why don't they have more 50 sized options? They seem really popular on forums. Do they not really sell as well as the 200s?

Need Help Choosing Flip/pitch/punch Reel?
Most people do high gearing to make retrieving faster and reducing time between pitches/flips.
