I agree but when fishing a points league tournament series sometimes you have to go out however if we don't do better then we did last year it won't matter if stay home on those adverse bays.

I have been wearing my Carhart bibs and coat when fishing cold weather which works fine other then being a little bulky,how ever they are not water proof and now that I am fishing in tournaments as you know sometimes you have to fish in not so perfect weather conditions. I have been checking in on the Bass Pro 100mph Gore-Tex rain suit. Every body I have talked to and everything I've read has been positive for the most part but before I pull the trigger on it I wanted to get Bass Resources nations opinion. I'm in Dinwiddie/Petersburg area here in Va the Walmarts here won't even close when with 10 to 12 inches of snow on the ground with blizzard like conditions so I know they won't be closing for good.

The wife and I went up today got there about 2 small crowd. Picked up a few things, we enjoyed it. It was our first time going to the expo. I wanted to look at the Ranger aluminum 188 bass boats to compare with the Tracker 195.

15 was my first year of tournament fishing 5 fish out of a possible 30 and nothing over 2lbs. Fun fishing not much better hand full of small ones the best day was catching 2- 4 lbers on back to back cast while fun fishing. That was about the high light. Hoping for a better 16.

I just got home from visiting family in SC while I was there I looked around to see what lakes were close by Clarke Hill is only hour and half away. We are planning to go back in March my question is if anyone knows if there is a place where we can rent a boat and some insight one on bass fishing on this lake. Thanks, Richard

Visiting family here in SC couldn't help but to notice I'm only an hour and a half away from Clarke Hill lake. Does anyone know if there are any guided trips on this lake or if a fellow forum member needs a fishing partner one day this week? Richard

I would love to go fishing over the holidays but I'm going to visit my sister and brother who live in SC they don't fish so I don't know anything about the area so I guess I will just have to visit. By the way Barnwell Co. and Williston just in cast any one is in the area and need a break from the family.

Stop trying to learn more and try to execute what I have learned and then progress to the next step. One thing I have noticed in the 3 short years I have been bass fishing is the industry really targets the newest and best trends (shocking right)but what I have learned if you take the time and go back and read all the post that that these guy have put out there you need to learn the basics. The fish, the fishes habits, how the conditions effects the fish in the area you fish.

I am having eye surgery tomorrow so my wife making me stay a week in Williamsburg to make sure I don't try to work. I work construction (yes I am hard headed) To the point we are staying close to Waller Mill park and they have a small lake. I was curious if any one has ever fished the lake in the park.

They should start releasing more water later this week when they do it will clear pretty quickly, you will see a big difference by this coming weekend

Clh I don't know how long you and your wife have been together but this fishing trip may not be about catching fish but about getting to know the man that his sister is married to. With that said if it all about fishing take Sam's advice bring nightcrawls you can't go wrong with that.
