How Do I Fishing Very High Water
Do to all the rain we have had over the last few months this is the second time our local lake has been two or more foot over normal pool. The river below the dam is still raging so I don't thing they will be opening the locks to release any water any time soon. My question is do I change my approach on how I fish this lake and if so what do you suggest. There are several creeks that feed into this lake. I was thanking on focusing on these areas or should I stay on the main lake and old river above the lake. This lake is tough under normal conditions so need all the help I can get.

The Funniest Thing Youve Ever Seen On The Water Or At The Ramp
Pulled up to the boat ramp seen a large group of people standing on the dock looking at the water I walked up to see what was going on and the only thing I seen was a car radio antenna sticking out of the water. It seems an older gentleman forgot to put the plug in the boat and the weight of the sinking boat pulled his older model station wagon down the ramp and into the water that's right boat, motor, trailer and car under water. The local paper even posted a picture of the antenna sticking out of the water.

Got On The Water For The First Time This Season
The wife and I moved into our camper on the lake Monday hope to be here for a couple of months but that's another story. Took the boat out for a run to make sure its ready for the season decided to fish for about an hour after watching a guy bring in a 5.6 from off the bridge next to the camp ground. Started flipping a jig and picked up a nice 3 pounder in a heavy grass line. That is the first time I have ever fished a jig, really looking forward to this year and the best thing is I got to say "THERE HE IS" so my wife could laugh at me.

How To Defeat The "bait Monkey"
I am afraid of the bait monkey, My wife said I tin to over do it when I take a interest in something and I am becoming very interested in bass fishing. It does blow my mind how much bait and tackle is dedicated to catching one fish. So far I am still using all the tackle I got from a friend who gave it up do to heath reasons .

What Are Go To Lures

I Am Looking For A True Floating Worm That Is Soft. What To Buy?
This is a very good question I have never fish a shaky head before and want to try it this year so I went though all my worms and none of them set up like I seen on the videos. I know the salted baits sink but even some of the unsalted ones have don't float. Do they lose there buoyancy if they are old. I got a lot of my bait and tackle from a guy who stop fishing years ago do to bad health.

Anyone Else See This?

Bubble Gum Worm
Have any of you guys had any luck fishing the pink bubble gum worm? My wife loves fishing it but she has only caught a few small bass with it. The only thing I notice is that its a great bluegill and crappie locater, They beat the hack out of it.

Keeping It Simple
You can do what I did and start with " bassresource" videos on you tube, Glenn breaks it down very well for us beginners and the best thing about him he does not push any one product he will give you his opinion. I'm a new member to this site as well and they will all tell you to read all the past post and put the time in on the water that is how you learn. One thing that I found that helps me is to go to the local forums and find guys in your area and pick there brains,it is amazing to me how willing these guys are to help out us newbies. One thing I do know is the "SENKO WORM" catches fish I don't care where you fish and what condition you fish, That's just my opinion. Good luck and welcome to the site

Caged Fish
What normally happens when someone gets caught cheating is it just up to the tournament officials or can legal action be taken. The way I look at it they are stealing!
-
Caged Fish
At the very least they could have set up a trail camera, there was a tournament the following Saturday I have heard of cheating stories just in the area I live in I can only image how much this goes on around the nation and even worst how much it happens that you don't hear about it.. I'm new to bass fishing and hearing of stories like this make me hesitant to even enter any tournaments.. I know any one can win any given day but when you go out and in the back of your mind you are thinking someone already as 25 to 30 lbs before any one gets a line wet makes me thank if its even worth it.
-
Caged Fish
Has anyone heard of some fisher hooking and pulling up a cage in the barge pits on the James that had several 4 to 5 lb bass in it.

What Are Your Goals This Year?
I read a lot, watched all of Glenn's videos and got a lot of advice from the great guys on this sight over the winter. Now my goal is to put what I have learn to the test and hopefully out fish my friend who has been bass fishing for over 25 years. He seems to stuck in a one pattern fishing style from season to season very reluctant to try anything different Second goal is to fish 1 or 2 tournaments this year..

What Was Your Favorite One On Saturday Morning?
I remember the shows in the 80's and early 90's didn't bass fish then so I didn't pay much attention to them wish I did maybe I would be a better bass fisher today. One thing I do remember is they all caught 4 to 5 lbs all the time. So when I started bass fishing that's what I expected and we all know that don't happen. On topic I would Have to go with Bill Dance
