  1. I'd bought a couple from the original batch that swam on their side, Hudd said they'd replace them with good ones, they didn't lol
  2. It's pretty sad really, I regret ever buying any of his stuff
  3. I can definitely respect that it’s a small, garage type operation. That said, being up front about build times is pretty important. Siebert has his lead time on the front page of his website and always delivers
  4. You'll probably get your grass minnows right after all the topwaters people pre-ordered ship out ?
  5. Several of the Daiwa LT reels are <$100 and my experiences have been great with them. That said, I know the similarly priced Shimano offerings are also nice.
  6. Nice haul! And I really like the deck addition to your boat
  7. I have 3 of the Nanoace/Iovino series and really like them, they perform very well and the price is right. I say go for it
  8. If you've got the extra money then sure, but the new Levante rods are "almost" on par sensitivity wise with the XX. If I were you I'd consider calling The Tackle Trap and speaking with Gary, his knowledge of Megabass rods is vast https://tackletrap.com/
  9. I think you should consider the new Megabass Levante shakyhead model. I’ve been pretty impressed with these gen 2s, currently own 2 and thinking about a third. Well balanced, light and sensitive, very nice rod at the $200 price point. There are lots of great options in your budget though
  10. Those hooks on the bottom will work well with pretty much any soft plastic. That said, in my experience they are pretty much the perfect hook for flukes and 3.8+ keitech fats, add a hook weight as needed
  11. Hoping for an eBay holiday coupon
  12. Well I guess I need to put an order together, big trip to northern Michigan coming up
  13. No I did not, but I did order some Aftco stuff and it was the same situation. I'd called previously about Daiwa and Shimano and was told the invoice would show the discount, which it did.
  14. It applies but you won't see the discount when placing your order, it will show up on the email confirmation.
  15. The hookup tackle started their Memorial Day sale, 20% off and usual exclusions apply, though if you call you can still get it on anything but Megabass
  16. 4/0 ewg for me. Sometimes nose hook them with a cps spring the way the bassresource guys do it, pretty cool way to fish a fluke
  17. Thanks for posting this, killer deal! My step brother isn't a big fisherman but wanted to get a couple combos for him and his son to use on our family trip to Traverse City this year, I sent him the link and he grabbed a medium and medium heavy
  18. Sierra definitely feels more sensitive in my hands, if the difference in price doesn't bother you then definitely go with the Sierra. With Memorial day sales coming up you can probably get the rod at 15-20% off retail
  19. A 734 or 735 should fit your needs quite nicely
  20. I got sidetracked and completely forgot about the last batch he posted up until it was too late, kicking myself for that one These Paul Krew minnows are beautiful, smoke purple and the April mystery color. I was gonna wait until I used up some of my dropshot bait supply before ordering but the monkey talked me out of that plan
  21. Mine arrived just fine, the box wasn’t exactly a hard type shipping tube but it worked. Any breakage in that situation is on the shipping company
  22. evilcatfish replied to EWREX's topic in Fishing Tackle
Small straight tails: Iovino and Reins Bigger straight tails: Upton Curly tails: Zoom and Culprit Pretty sure I could catch em on just about any worm out there though
  23. I have the new Levante leviathan, and while I do believe it will handle 8oz I think the sweet spot is more in the 3-6 range. Tackle tour did this comprehensive review of the onager which is worth reading: http://www.tackletour.com/reviewmbdestroyeronager.html
  24. I now have the leviathan and flatside special. Really liking them so far in both performance and looks, pretty impressive at their price
