  1. I believe the 703 is rated 1/4-3/4 and 704 at 1/4-1. 703 is more of a medium and 704 more like a MH
  2. Here's some info on the new ones, there is one picture towards the end but its not great http://www.tackletour.net/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=79537
  3. I’d call TW and confirm you’ll still get it, I was under the impression the gen 1 Levante rods were limited to stock on hand. Otherwise, I haven’t fished your particular model but I bet you’ll like it. The Levante rods definitely don’t have the allure of higher end Megabass, but at the close out price you really can’t go wrong. Just be advised that the Levante rods can easily be a gateway in to the Megabass cult lol
  4. Yes, it is often over rated, but in some cases is still important.
  5. Thanks! For some reason I figured the honeycomb had less capacity, not sure which I’ll get now...
  6. Is there a difference in line capacity between the honeycomb and the solid one? Looking at the website it looks like it's the same, unless I'm reading it wrong?
  7. My big fish thoughts in regards to lake/pond fishing for green bass, and I’m not far from Chicago often fishing southern Illinois 1. 4# and 9# fish will both eat “big” baits 2. Big soft swimmers in cooler months 3. Hard swimmers or chatterbaits in warmer months up until it gets too warm 4. In the dead of summer, a large t rigged worm or mag Shakeyhead is king 5. Jigs catch big bass all year long 6. Don’t get too hung up on the big bait=big fish thing. In some lakes, the big fish just don’t want a 10 oz glide bait 7. Experiment and see what works best for you, every lake is different 8.Don’t get discouraged if at first you don’t succeed
  8. Ironic that right as the eBay sale starts the item I’ve been looking at is sold out.
  9. Before upgrading, I'd consider thoroughly cleaning and lightly lubing the stock bearings, I think you'll be happy with the results. Otherwise, ZPIs are excellent
  10. Got a Major Craft NAS-F691M and several spools of line. Technically, the the rod is a gift though so I'll have to wait a few weeks to use it. Almost pulled the trigger on a new Dobyns too but was able to resist temptation
  11. Black Friday order arrived, excited to try a couple new baits
  12. A green pumpkin tube catches me green and brown bass all winter long. Actually, this bait catches me fish all year long haha
  13. They'll often email them or they'll pop up on the main page. People usually post them in "the latest sale" thread once they get them
  14. I just know in my head what's on what, though I usually don't have more than 5 combos with me at a time
  15. Nothing wrong with straight mono, I run that or straight floro on all but my frog and heavy duty all purpose setups
  16. Wouldn't be surprised if eBay runs a coupon tomorrow...
  17. Saw the sale was on so I placed an order through TW then 20 minutes later realized I forgot to use my gift card! Guess another order might be coming up
  18. I know others disagree, but I feel the fury line performs almost identically when compared to the champ. QPR on the fury can’t be beat. All this said, I say go fury 704 or 734
  19. Oops, meant Tackle Supply Depot, I get them mixed up with the similar names
  20. Early Black Friday sale has started at Bass Tackle Depot and The Hook Up
  21. I'm sure the baits will catch fish and I honestly do find some of these YouTube "personalities" entertaining. That said, nothing about these baits makes me think they are any better than what is already on the market, but good for those guys if they can make a few bucks
  22. I picked up a Daiwa Legalis this past summer and have been very happy with it, at $69.99 its well within your budget. Don't forget the Black Friday sales are coming up to save a few bucks
  23. These look nice! Not sure why they ever changed up the original line, those were great rods
  24. Contact Dobyns, even if the rod isn't covered under warrant you can go with the no hassle replacement option
  25. Dobyns Fury 795. Great rod at a fair price
