  1. Congrats on your new PB and nice hawg!
  2. My biggest is the 11 lber in my avatar caught in Florida this past March while on vacation. My smallest are these guys that were caught in one of my private ponds in De. a few weeks ago.
  3. Would have to be while on vacation in Florida a few months ago when I caught one 11lber, one over 10lbs, one pushing 9lbs and a handful of bass between 6-8lbs and dozens of smaller ones within a span of 5 days. Can't wait to go back.
  4. I saw them swimming around in a big clump today while fishing . I don't really have a length but they are probably around a half inch long.
  5. Been there many times. It makes you want to fish that body of water relentlessly.
  6. About a week ago I was fishing one of my private ponds and I noticed a clump of tiny fish moving along the bank. I had a very small net with me and leaned over almost falling in and caught a bunch of them. They are young but very alert when the net hit the water. There were thousands of them.
  7. A few ponds that I fished recently the bluegill were on beds and I was catching alot of bass on different color lipless crankbaits.
  8. I caught one yesterday with a hook stuck in it's mouth and a worm that was so waterlogged it fell apart in my hands. It didn't stop him from nailing a crankbait and it was chunky so it was eating good. Iv'e heard the hook will rust out but how long if it even does.
  9. Don't forget a black buzzbait, it worked well for me in some of the smaller ponds when I was in the Orlando area.
  10. I use a few different colors in a clear lake that I fish. A spro aruku shad in perch color and black/chrome and bluegill in various different brands.
  11. Sounds like a great day of fishing. I should have went there also on my trip to Fl. Let's see some pics of those hawgs.
  12. The one in my avatar is 11lbs and I caught one over 10 during my trip to Florida in March. Two fish over 10lbs I definitely consider that a lucky trip. One of the guides told me there's people he knows that have fished in the hawg lakes of Florida for years and still haven't caught a dd so I agree they aren't as easy to catch as you would think.
  13. It may depend on the situation but alot of places I fish it has no effect on how they bite.
  14. If this is a bass I caught my biggest and smallest bass ever in a 2 month span. One of my private ponds I noticed a clump of fry swimming around near the bank so I reached with a tiny net and caught some of them.
  15. I caught a 5 and a half pound smb and I'm looking at that pic to compare but different camera angles.
  16. Awesome fish! What lake is that?
  17. I have been fishing since a kid but the bass bug kicked in bigtime around 2010 and this past March was the first time catching dd bass ( two of them) with the bigger one in my avatar but I made a specific trip to Florida to hope to catch one.
  18. Iv'e had quite a few of those in Aquariums over the years . Not many fish would survive in the same tank.
  19. I know what you mean about the rain we got pounded with today. I would throw a chatterbait into the mix as well.
  20. Real nice! Gotta love the Huddlestons.
  21. Nice hawg!
  22. I'll be there. I live 5 miles away. I heard about some giveaways they were having but not exactly sure what they are.
  23. That sucks about the spinnerbait deal. When you get a chance check out Terminator or Assassinator spinnerbaits. Iv'e had good luck with them in the limited time I used them but others claim they are real nice.
  24. I could be wrong but when I was in Florida the last week of March some of the big bass I caught were spawned out so I'm guessing it would be post spawn now. Some of the locals would know better than me lol.
  25. Nice tanker!..Stuff like this is making me ready to come down there again.
