  1. Congrats on that Easter tanker!
  2. I need to look into this. A big pickerel bit me off last week and made off with my Hudd Gill within 5 minutes of using it for the first time.
  3. Thanks.. Yeah it's Cecil County.
  4. I have a ford work van, two mustangs, and my wife has a mustang. This one runs ok.
  5. If the Lmb aren't biting stripers will do. Now it's just a matter of some of the guides that I left messages with to call me back.
  6. Thanks again for all the info. It's alot to remember and I'm going to need to extend my stay it seems lol.
  7. It's a biggin. California is calling for that bad boy.
  8. I had the same thing happen. The 1/2oz stays down better along with lighter line and holding the rod tip low.
  9. That was worth the drive . Nice catches from everyone especially the football gut in the last pic.
  10. That area does look inviting on google maps.
  11. The road is September Drive. Not sure how familiar anyone is with that area. It's a waterfront property so I'll be fishing all over the backyard area and they have a boathouse also.
  12. Good review. Those Cut-R-worms have been working very well for me..on swimjigs and solo.
  13. Thanks for all the info. The area where I'll be staying is near Perkinson Point on google maps. Not sure where the hot side or anything regarding that lake is.
  14. I may be heading to Lake Anna area the end of April and was wondering who you would recommend for a guide and if your familiar with the place I'll be staying. It's waterfront. Thanks for any info.
  15. Thanks. Yeah those rig walkers have been working great since I started using them this year. The water temp today was 50 and they were very aggressive on the strikes.
  16. That may come in handy soon. Thanks.
  17. I wasn't going to head out to fish this afternoon with the temps in the low 30's and 20mph winds but with the water temp more than likely still staying consistant I ventured out with many layers on ( except forgot gloves). Water temp was 50. I threw 3 or 4 different swimbaits including the Hudd 68, and a Dirty Jig with a 5'' Kalins grub trailer. The Hudd 68 would eventually get eaten there but I didn't put much time into it today. The rig walker and another pre- rigged swimbait a little bigger were slaying them again along with the swimjig. One of the first bass caught looked like Dottie's long lost grand daughter with the dot in a different area. A few casts later a bass nailed the swimbait real hard and was fighting like a much larger fish. At first I thought it was a giant but after getting her in she was in the 4lb range with some type of fish jammed down her throat like a crappie or something. I threw the swimjig for a little bit and caught 3 or 4 and missed about the same. After catching all the crappie yesterday I made sure to throw the bigger of the two swimbaits to hopefully eliminate catching them. On one cast something crushed the bait and felt strong. It was the same 4lbish pickerel that bit off my Rage Blade a few days ago and it was still in it's mouth. It was nice to get that back. There are numerous huge laydowns in the water with many branches and one of these times I need to put some time in with whatever lure wont get me hung up because many a lure Iv'e lost there already. I lost count but was around a 20 fish day. Dotties relative It was nice to get the Rage Blade back from the fish. It needs a break but the action is too good to stop.
  18. The thumb is worse after today.. I'll make a post from today's action.
  19. Real nice!
  20. What an active day today for the fish. I hit up one of my holes and threw swimbaits, swimjigs and weedless worms. Water temp was 52 and they were not sluggish. There are alot of areas I never fished on this body of water and today I hit some new spots and found some fish I didn't know were in here. Yellow perch and loads of crappie. They both were nailing the swimbait like crazy. Ended up catching atleast 25 bass, about 10 crappie, 1 yellow perch that got off and 5 pesky pickerel that bit off a few of my lures. Still no sign of the 5+ lbers. The biggest were around 3lbs. Not sure if they would be in the area where the crappie are plentiful or somewhere else. A dozen or so fish including all species got off as soon as they hit the swimbait. I hope it stays this good or even better right before spawn. My left thumb is abused lol. I think he wanted it. I'll take this in March in Delaware.
  21. Nice job. That Aruku Shad crank is killer in one of my lakes.
  22. Pre-spawn for sure. Today water temp was only 52 and they were flying after the baits.
  23. I live in Delaware.
  24. The water temp in the ponds in my home state have been 48-52 the last week or so and Iv'e been catching alot of fish on red lipless cranks but not near as many as on the small rig walker swimbait. They are nailing it bigtime.
  25. Like stated above you don't have to use a giant swimbait for big bass? It may help but not always needed. I caught one of the big ones over 10lbs in Florida last month on a River2sea rig walker and have been killing them in my home state the last few weeks. It's only 4'' and pre-rigged and ready to go and you can throw it on a medium heavy rod no problem.
