  1. Prayers your way.
  2. We have em up here. Friend hooked into a nice chinook with one on its back. Mid jump the chinook shook the hook and the eel, and the hook snagged the eel in mid air. It was a big one though, probably 25+ incher. Ugly things!
  3. 3 rods that can cover most techniques! ----> http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/130634-rod-selection-the-basics/ I'm running One 7' M moderate for cranking. My lake is shallow so no deep cranking which a MH would be for. (12lb Yo-Zuri Hybrid) One M F spinning rod for weightless plastics, split shot rigs, top water poppers and drop shots. (15lb braid with 8lb fluoro leader for some techniques) One H XF rod for T-rig, flipping, and frogging. (50lb braid) These 3 rods work fine for me.

Black and blue fleck and white with any color fleck works great for me on my lake since it is murky, but a watermelon with gold fleck is what I got my pb with on a clear lake.
  5. Around 5 1/2 - 6lbs I'd say! Beautiful fish, looks similar to my pb which was a smallie @ 5 1/2 Lbs.
  6. http://www.academy.com/ And I'd go with the Lexa as you can get a killer deal on one right now for $69.99.
  7. Hope they bring the other models over here (Corzza looks sweet). Look much better than the Nanoace.
  8. Agreed or cough up another $50 and grab the PX Type-R!
  9. That would be a solid Christmas! Even the Zillion alone would suffice. Getting a Fenwick Aetos, Daiwa T3B, $200 in hard and soft baits, and some cash (Straight toward fishing gear of tourney entry).
  10. Welcome! I prefer a 6'8'' - 7'' M/F for those techniques.
  11. I do not put the trailer on as the salt may rust the hook.
  12. Looks like a trip of a lifetime. Added to the bucket list!
  13. Very nice upgrade I'd say!
  14. I have the exact same rod. Was using 20lb braid but switching over to 12lb Yo-Zuri Hybrid.
  15. Power Pro has been my go to braid.

    Welcome fellow Ontarian!
  17. This year i was fishing in negative temps (under 32F I think) and anti reverse stopped working. Working fine when thawed though.
  18. Nice pig
  19. See, you are lucky. Good thing you didn't toss it!
  20. Eyeballed it nice!
