  1. So I have been looking at buying some jerk baits. I have lots of cranks, spinners, jigs, but jerk baits I do not. The reason. I don't want to say I'm afraid, but I am not confident at all. To me a jerk has always been a mystery. How, when, and where do you use them? Am I the only person out there that didn't use jerks out of a confidence problem?
  2. I have had glasses for a long time, and I already have a set of driving glasses that are tinted and polarized. But I realized that isn't best for fishing. So I'm going to be buying just a polarized lens. The tinted and polarized cuts glare like no tomorrow, but you can't see through the water unless I'm on top of it. Where by brother in law with just polarized who can see out across the water. And your not getting old, you just earned you eagle fishing eyes.
  3. It is all in the perspective of the person. I feel I never can have to much. Others go out with a single 3600 and that's all they need. Get what you'll use, and what you feel you need.
  4. Toro inshore! 330 yards of 30lb with high speed options or in the winch.
  5. Ice melt.... lots of it.. Or wait out winter..
  6. I have only kept one fish, and it was my biggest bass yet. I get a lot of flak for doing it, but if I count the number that I catch a year and throw back when I look over to the boat loaded with people next to me is keeping everything they catch... I feel like I am doing my part. I also opted this year to get our states critical habitat licenses plate. A portion of what I paid to get it (I think a little over $100) goes to DNR. I also get a walleye stamp even though I don't eat or catch walleye. (The process go to help stocking walleye, and is not required in the state to fish for walleye) I know here in MN the just opened the slot limit on northerns on one of our biggest walleye lakes to help cut down predators for walleye. So in some since depending on what they are keeping out might be helping... maybe (not that I am defending over fishing)
  7. There had been in the past. 15%, there is a 4th of July sale to I think
  8. Personally waiting until a memorial sale on tw.
  9. Meh bogo 50% spro frogs. There was s bin of $3 spooks and bandits. 25% off Rapala stuff. Nothing to rush to asap imo
  10. The monkey almost did it again... I was strong, but because I keep telling myself "wait untill memorial day sale on TW"..... I did just put away a small order from the classic sale, and with LTB and FH boxes monthly I hope it will hold me..
  11. Abu Revo Winch 99 Abu Toro Winch 199 (both with a low 5:4.1 ratio) My favorite Abu Rocket, but this is a high speed reel.
  12. Outings-D Size-B Total numbers-C Okay year considering the times I got out. And caught some great size fish, but it was a hard bite to find.
  13. I just bought 2 3600 boxes for my bag... and it is killing me that they are semi empty.
  14. I use matzuo frogs when northern top water fishing (odd right? But it's fun). They have good hooks and I have never been displeased with them, so I would hope for the same quality in their spinners.
  15. Ahh yes, having money to rigorously spend on fishing is funny....
  16. I would agree winter kicks it in high gear. I know when I fish in the summer I don't want to buy as much. I will go into a store here and there to stock up, but never binge like I do now.. I just got some stuff in. And I put another order.. I know I ordered over $60 in plastics alone, and plan on putting in another @70 this Friday on some spinners.
  17. Lol.. I wanted something different in color.
  18. it's all here... Well I am still waiting on a box of plastics.
  19. But this is a minimal problem compared to other boxes where you pull one and they all pull out.
  20. I can tell you personally.. I have the box style, the cheaper tray, and the one on the video. The one on the video by far is superior. If you are worried about bringing of the wire over time you are using extremely cheap spinners. Most of the spinners out there keep shape with memory vary well.
  21. Do you actively look for them though or stumble upon them?
  22. So I have a normal routine during the day, but a part of it I normally stroll through the Flee market section, and swing over to TW to see what they have for the daily offer. But i have noticed that a major factor to my buying is YouTube. I love going through unboxing, and reviews and so to say "window shop" this way. I value others opinions highly and I think this plays into my buying habit. What makes you tick? Anything that makes is better or worse?
  23. Went crazy with the classic savings on plastics. Bought I think it was 25 bags... not sure how I am going to explain it to the wife considers I have been banned from buying gear until next year.... lol
  24. I always stock my boat with enough pfds as people I can hold. Lucky I only have a 14 ft. The holds 3.. but I feel it's my boat and my responsibility for the safety of those on board.
  25. I honestly have not like dicks, Cabelas or gander. You walk in and so much of there self space is bought by the makers. I went to one of these unnamed stores above to find a spook.. I found 3.... not 3 different colors.. but if I was looking for a Rapala well than, I could have 100's of choices. 2 isles full Don't get me wrong.I love them to go and look, plus when you are looking for a must have now it is great. But I am going to stick with online from here on out.
