best brand of spinner bait?
I’ve always had a lot of luck with Terminator titanium’s and steel. They rarely fall apart even after many fish. Very durable, even the steel ones. I bought some Booyah Vibra ones and thought they were too heavy. But I’ll give them another try.

Does anyone use a snap swivel on their lines permanently?
I can see how this can affect some lures action for sure like a walk the dog type lure. For that I just used the Mustad KVD Fastach and it always worked great. For lures like Whopper Ploppers, paddle tailed frogs, spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, and other straight retrieve lures you’re probably fine.

I always use Mustad KVD Fastach clips w/ swivels size #2.3 on my baitcasting rods. So that's permanently. They work great, snag less than regular swivel snaps, and are a lot stronger than regular swivel snaps.

Arbogast Buzz Plug
Caught a few but it really is built upside down. If it was built with the belly down it would run a lot better.

Choosing a boat type?
You fish by yourself a lot? I bought a bass boat and I wish I had gotten a multispecies.

Marine Battery Chargers: Dual Pro vs. NOCO vs. Minn Kota vs. Others.....?
Also, is 15 amps, 15 amps no matter what the manufacturer says about “Charges 2x times faster!”? If two different brand chargers are 15 amps, will they both charge at the same rate?

Problems with 2017 Minn Kota Ulterra
Update: So the Minn Kota charger was showing one green light and one solid yellow light. I disconnected that charger and connected a single charger to each battery until they were fully charged. Re-connected the old Minn Kota charger and now both batteries are flashing green which I believe is maintenance. So are the batteries probably ok now and for some reason the charger couldn’t preciously charge them fully?

Thanks! I've never really checked that. I know I should.

Marine Battery Chargers: Dual Pro vs. NOCO vs. Minn Kota vs. Others.....?
I had a Dual Pro Professional in my last boat for 7 years and it worked great. It charged 3 old batteries that it never should have charged for 7 years. They were odd batteries. One was an old battery from Comcast, one was an new battery that sat on the concrete floor of my father's pole barn for years, and the third I don't know where it came from. Out of those 3 batteries, two were from the previous boat owner and the third was from me. That Dual Pro kept them working for 7 years though, I never had to replace batteries in that boat. Ranger also puts these chargers in their boats which is a confidence booster. Also, I think the Dual Pro has 15 amps per bank which would charge the batteries faster than the others which are 10 amp per bank, no? My current boat has a cheaper Minn Kota charger. Not the higher end Precision charger that has the equalize cell feature. I have 2 batteries that are 4 years old and most likely need replacing. However, if I could equalize them perhaps I could get another year out of them rather than replacing them which would be nice. NOCO brand chargers are widely regarded on this forum as being compact and reliable. The Dual Pro's are fairly large, however they take space up vertically, so their footprint may actually be smaller than some of the other flatter chargers. I know that Dual Pro, NOCO, and Minn Kota are 3 of the biggest names out there in onboard charging but feel free to add others that I didn't add. So out of these chargers which is: 1.) Best 2.) Best bang for your buck I'm not sure if the NOCO does but it would be nice if the NOCO and Dual Pro had the equalize cell feature that the cheaper Minn Kota does. Also, if the Minn Kota Precision chargers can equalize cells why isn't this an option with the other more expensive brands?

NOCO GEN3 30amp 3-Bank Charger
Will the Noco equalize the cells like a Minn Kota Precision charger will?

I haven’t noticed this being a problem.

The Most
Bought too many Whopper Ploppers but I love them. Work great. Bought too many different hollow body frogs experimenting with them trying to make my own homemade Teckel Sprinker frogs. Ended up with Booyah Pad Crashers being the best but I have a lot of frogs I will probably never use again and new in the box.

Best hook for flukes
I’ve found that nose-hooking flukes with a CPS Centering Spring will save on many flukes which saves you money and valuable time from not continually putting on new flukes. My current fluke has lasted 2 seasons so far. I use an Owner 2/0 Mosquito hook but found out sometimes the CPS Centering Spring flew off the hook so I added a small piece of shrink tube and it fixed it. You can buy the shrink tube for like $1.40 and it will last years. *** Note: I do not heat the shrink tube afterwards. Good luck on your tournament!

Best affordable boat fishing quick drying tennis style shoes?
Ah. Thanks. I’m looking for something with no holes so my feet don’t get sun burnt. Basically looking for tennis shoes that drain and dry quickly and don’t rot.

Whopper Ploppers
We didn’t have too many problems with this issue until the end of the season when the weeds got thick. Not a huge problem but I agree it definitely happens sometimes. Started using these bc they are a lot stronger than regular swivel snaps and they work well. I used the #2.3 size for 110 Whopper Ploppers.

Best affordable boat fishing quick drying tennis style shoes?
I'm looking for affordable fishing shoes that are basically just like regular tennis shoes but drain and dry quickly unlike regular tennis shoes. I'm not looking for the thin mesh style shoes. I need it to be like a regular shoe that's durable (usually the soles on the mesh ones aren't real soles and mesh holes cause sunburns), durable, and can be worn without socks. Hopefully under $40. These are for fishing from the boat, not shore fishing or walking around in the water. - Under $40 (hopefully) - Can be worn without socks (insoles won't stick to feet) - Thick enough top material to block the sun from sunburning feet - No holes so that feet don’t get sunburned. - Durable Basically looking for tennis shoes that drain and dry quickly and don’t rot. Not this: Something like this: Anyone know what's good?
