  1. The baits work properly however they get lost or destroyed by fish. Obviously Gary Yamamoto wants that because it's built in obsolescence. If they lasted forever he'd be a much poorer man.
  2. I tried the rubber o ring with the o-wacky tool and I lose 3 on casting alone. Stopped using it after that.
  3. That sentence does to make sense. lol
  4. What did you mean by this?
  5. How much did it cost if you didn't factor in the trade-in?
  6. Cool. That's a smart way to do it with mesh in the middle.
  7. Thanks for the video. Try this out too. It might work for you.
  8. How many fish per Senko are you getting per O-ring?
  9. I think that would work a lot better also.
  10. I'm guessing if you're fishing with a swing head jig you'd be using a floating plastic bait and you'd want it to be of the crawfish fish type so it looks like a crawfish with it's pincers up. Right? If that is the case what is the best bait to use with a swing head jig? I have Ragetail Chunks, Craws, Rodents, Big Bite Baits Fighting Frogs, and others. But I think all of these sink.
  11. Nice! How much does that run you?
  12. I'd let her rig herself then. lol.
  13. It seems to me that usually the gf's or wives aren't nearly as hardcore into fishing as the guys. I know my girl could care less about fishing. My bro's girl on the other hand will fish but she's not an avid fisherman. She'll just take whatevers given to her and fish it. Because she'd rather catch fish and doesn't care how, I hooked her line up with a Zoom Super Fluke in white pearl on a hook with a twistlock and she always catches fish. Usually nothing big, but it's consistent and easy to fish and pretty weedless also. When I went fishing with my friend he set up his wife with a white Gary Yamamoto Double Tailed Hula Grub T-Rigged Weightless and she caught a ton of fish. She caught so many in fact it made me wonder why none of us were using it. We were all using spinnerbaits, cranks, Jigs, and other baits. It seems to me that we set up our significant others with baits that are really effective but for some reason are against using that bait ourselves. Sometimes it seems that the significant other's bait is so good that we should be using it. But stubbornly we keep using other baits. So what lure do you rig your significant other up with?
  14. So you guys are saying it's fine to not even open them up as long as there isn't a lot of water in them, that some condensation and water in them from putting a wet lure in there won't cause rust?
  15. Well, I ordered 2, one for my brother and one for me, and a few plastics. With the $25 off coupon they were $87 each. I hope they work out.
  16. I watched a video where a guy swore by the chartreuse/pearl single tail fat albert grub for his pitching and flipping set up. So I ordered a pack. Haven't gotten them yet.
  17. And someone probably made a soft plastic stickbait before Gary Yamamoto made the Senko, but he gets all the credit.
  18. Tommy Biffle created bottom bugging and his signature free-swinging football jig the Biffle Hardhead. With this came invention came a great jig that floats a boat above the jig head like no other jig head before it could. However, a short time after people thought of a great improvement to this idea. Make a jig head that can interchange hooks. This allows you to choose the hook brand you prefer, change out the hook if it's damaged or rusted without throwing away the whole head, putting a larger or smaller hook on, quickly replacing the hook with a new sharp hook, or whatever reason you want to change hooks. Some use an O-ring, other uses other methods such as the KVD Mustach version which will utilize the KVD Fastach Clip. Punisher Lures Hail Mary This improvement would be akin to Gary Yamamoto creating the Senko and then someone quickly creating one that is improved by being made out of a plastic that has 10X the durability. So, has any other revolutionary lure/bait been eclipsed by an improvement so quickly?
  19. Yeah, that's the place. But if the reels suck, 1/2 off won't matter. lol.
  20. I'm looking at getting a reel for pitching and this one is on sale. I've read some good reviews on this reel and I've read quite a few bad ones too. I was wondering if this reel was worth it.
  21. When I get home after fishing I open up my tackle boxes to let them air out. I know there is usually water or condensation in there. Last night I was in a rush and forgot to open them up. I did it this morning around 4am. I was wondering how long it takes tackle to rust from freshwater fishing. Can tackle rust overnight from freshwater fishing?
  22. What tip guides to that?
